  1. I'm the one who doesn't read it.
  2. Of course not. Hmm...maybe I should start my own site writing about the Bills...?
  3. I don't know...to me, it's just a hell of a lot of fun hitting the sports bar with games on everywhere around you...loud as hell, with fans yelling and high fiving everywhere. You always know what's going on in all the games. Plus you eventually start recognizing the same fans there every week and can give each other hell. It's pathetic, but it's fun. There's a guy who's been coming to the bar I go to for years...huge Cincinnati fan. He was there every damn week even when they were so pathetically bad, and usually all by himself. Last year, of course, there was a crowd of 10-12 Bengals fans there every week. But he's still there, right in the middle. True fan.
  4. This is precisely the same thing I said when we signed Anderson. I couldn't have been more wrong. Then again, I don't try to make a name for myself writing about football. Now, do I really think Reyes will be as bad or worse than Bennie? Of course not. There's no way...
  5. The king is dead! Long live the king! (Tut)
  6. I actually like that, although I can understand those that prefer reference only to those in memoriam.
  7. Maybe you could just put something like "From TBD" if you want.
  8. Sorry, I just don't believe that. I know plenty of couples that have no interest in procreation. Marriage can be religious or not religious, and for procreation or not for procreation. There is no overarching definition of marriage that should include either.
  9. Not in my world it ain't. Unless you're saying my wife and I shouldn't have been married if we didn't plan on having kids?
  10. In case you didn't get that, Mark, that's his polite way of saying you're FOS.
  11. So TD never looked to upgrade a position after training camp, right before the season started?
  12. Maybe we could use the opportunity to pick up another safety or two...
  13. Bye, Tim. We hardly knew ye. I kinda liked Tim, but we had too many. The coaches obviously like Royal, and Everett wasn't going anywhere, and it sure seemed like Cieslak was moving up in the world. Cieslak makes me think of the Sleestacks from "Land of the Lost". Watson sounds like their backup MLB. Interesting. Young guy, wonder how much upside he has.
  14. My stepfather drove one of the landing boats for England that day. Can't even imagine.
  15. I occasionally suffer from "Intermittent Explosive Disorder", although I thought it had something to do with the toilet.
  16. Maybe they somehow knew their airbags weren't going to inflate?
  17. A post mentioning the words "Kool-Aid" in 5...4...3.......
  18. I have to say I'm impressed at the range of responses to the original post.
  19. NOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo!!!!!!
  20. The imagery was fantastic. The dialog was so bad it physically hurt. And although it was cool to see the storylines all tied up together, the last few minutes were so rushed together it just seemed like a half-assed effort to get the picture over with.
  21. And yet...it wasn't as bad as I remembered it. It was worse. Put down the pen and step away from the screenplay, George!
  22. Just another argument in favor of forced sterilization. That's all.
  23. IIRC, Buffalo was sort of in the running when Colorado got the Rockies. I recall that a lot of arguments were put forth to suggest that Buffalo couldn't support a pro baseball team, even though the Bisons had better attendance than a number of MLB teams. I honestly don't think they could support a baseball team. I can't stand pro basketball, so I don't even care about the NBA.
  24. Wow. I don't even know what to say. Never really interacted with him much myself, but it still hits hard.
