  1. I really must learn to use the [/sarcasm] tag.
  2. 6 years in the league and this is his first averging barely more than 1 passing TD per game. JP's got 18 in his third season, his first full season as a starter. I'll take JP right now, thanks.
  3. Forget it. Marv's too old and Ralph's too cheap.
  4. Holy crap, that's a great pic!
  5. I fully expect to hear ESPN wailing on Levy if Fletcher is let go, regardless of what else happens.
  6. I think that's probably the best description I've heard so far.
  7. I also thought it was interesting that Fewell went to the media and basically said, "Clements > Fletcher > Kelsay", but truth be told, he's right and I can appreciate his honesty. I love Fletch as well and would love to see him stay for consistency's sake, but I'm not sure it will happen. I don't begrudge him his feelings, but I also think that he will be sign-able and once the contract is signed these rough feelings will melt away. And if he's not signed, then that's too bad and I'll miss him, but we can replace him.
  8. Living in Utah, it's pretty similar...we don't get as much snow in general, but the prevailing sense is that, when it snows a lot, everybody gets really excited. In Buffalo...?
  9. Damn, we should get Antowain back here. Then we could have two A-trains at the same time!
  10. Not a chance. The Titans stole a huge amount of momentum at the end of the first half, scoring that TD. They were flying high after that. Suddenly, two huge mistakes by them give us the ball deep in their territory with only a second remaining. Of course you kick the figgie. Doing so just about ties the game and takes back a big chunk of that Mo. You go for the TD and make it, great, but it's no gimmie from the 5 yard line. You miss it, and you blow that big chance to take back some Mo. It was an amazing turn of events that helped get a big bunch of confidence back in the team just by kicking a figgie.
  11. Did you take a big juicy nasty antibiotic afterward?
  12. "I didn't get a harumpf out of that guy!"
  13. It'll be tough, but if we can somehow figure out how to stop the run we're gonna kick some serious ass next year.
  14. Will Ian Scott be a RFA? If so, forget about him.
  15. I do recall seeing one blitz against Tennessee...K. Thomas came in on a blitz and never got anywhere near Young. Nice completion on the play. When your front four get decent pressure, you're much better off not blitzing. When they don't, sometimes you have to try. They had gotten good pressure the previous couple of weeks with the front four, but nothing against Tennessee. I was a little surprised they didn't blitz more, especially against a rookie QB. Then again, I haven't watched film of the Titans, and it could be that Young does a lot of damage against blitzing teams by using his legs.
  16. I think Belichick did that once and it worked out, and of course he was praised for it. I agree, sometimes there are strategies that seem to make all the sense in the world, but coaches at this level are just too afraid to take the chance. A lot of fourth-down situations are like that; sometimes it just makes more sense to go for it rather than punt, but you'll hardly ever see it unless it's maybe 4th and one.
  17. Makes you wonder how Clements feels about this game. He's already proven his value and has only to wait for the big payday. Think he'll want to blow out a knee in a meaningless final game?
  18. I thought I heard the sound of regurgitation around here...
  19. I would have liked to have seen a FG attempt, but I agree that the wind was way too strong to make it an easy decision. Bironas' 42-yarder looked like it got slapped backward on its way toward the uprights and barely cleared. The odds were pretty slim. But again, I would have liked to have seen it tried. Then again, I'm more upset with the play calling before it. TEN was not stopping the clock, and two more runs would have been much better than two ridiculous pass attempts. I think Fairchild got a little too greedy on that one and it cost us. Oh, Royal. Why'd you have to do that?
  20. Smells to me like our run defense. Again.
  21. Just a guess, but I think Shelton would have more catches than Evans. ANd we wouldn't have swept Miami, that's for sure!
  22. Either way, I'd say I doubt it will be the BUF-BAL game. If the first-round bye is settled this week, they'll be sitting starters either way and I'm sure NBC wouldn't want that.
  23. Best division names ever.
  24. Nice pics! I never realized Lamb was so damn tall. Any Mark sightings?
  25. Well, one thing going for both Jauron and Levy is that they have had players over the years that rave about them. Black and white. I think that speaks volumes. I did read this part ...and all I could think about was Tom Donohoe.
