  1. It all comes down to 3rd down performance. On both sides of the ball.
  2. True, that. And the fact that his performance coming off that injury does not warrant that amount of coin. If he had never been injured, he'd be worth the money.
  3. Although my first reaction was similar to LA's, in the end it comes down to this for me: I'm just glad Marv and Dick are running this ship.
  4. Good Lord, some people will just never let it go....
  5. Damn...methinks Atlanta made out like bandits in this one.
  6. And all I'm saying is that past events don't necessarily have any impact on the future. Just because Cowher tanked his previous chances at a Super Bowl victory didn't mean he couldn't go out and finish the job. And just because Brown has had injuries in the past (as long as they aren't chronic injuries) doesn't mean he'll go out there and do the same again.
  7. Running backs frequently get hurt. McGahee was hurt, Henry was hurt. They often played through the pain, but who's to say if they would have if they had the same injuries as Brown. To me, saying Brown is an injury waiting to happen is not much different than saying Cowher or Dungy could never win the big one. Which is what a lot of people were saying.
  8. Maybe they should finally put in a rule to have the same number of cameras present at every freaking game. Why some games (read: night games and playoff games) get more cameras is beyond me when the money flowing around is at such ridiculous levels.
  9. If Brown could be had for a decent price he'd be a good pickup. Regardless of everyone's perception of his health, it would fill a need position, if even only temporarily. This team has holes to fill that can't all be addressed by high draft picks this year. My impression is that Marv and Dick have a plan, but when they took over they knew this was no quick fix. Three years to remake this team over. This is the second year and if we can focus on something other than RB in the early rounds, then great.
  10. Wow, aside from the military part, it sounds like a story I could have written. Except that I have no plans on moving just yet...
  11. If you want to see who the Bills will likely draft, just look at most mock's in the #20-#30 range. He'll be in there somewhere.
  12. New England taking two first-round DBs is interesting.
  13. This is one hell of a funny thread. Keep it up!
  14. Man...if we had only won the SB that year it would have been the most incredible playoff story. Greatest comeback ever. Beat Miami in Miami for the AFC Championship. And then I got to go to the Bowl that year to see them finally get one on the third try. Freaking 52-17. Ruined it all.
  15. The playoffs are such an incredibly long, grueling process. I think the best we should hope for is a healthy team when it starts...and a little bit of luck. This should be a freaking exciting playoff year.
  16. I can't wait to see the board crash when Marv picks someone completely unexpected.
  17. I thought for a second you were talking about Tony Hunter. It was like a bad flashback or something.
  18. And in fact it might be more of a reflection on the staff's impression of McGee's skills.
  19. Hmm...a choice between Hall, Okoye, and Lynch? Not a bad position to be in. I'm just not sure I see the 49ers taking Willis at #11. I wouldn't mind him at #12, though.
  20. I remember that stuff...funny as hell. I put in my vote for Hogboy as well.
  21. Then who was the guy wearing #26 last year against the Jets? Says there on BB.com that he played in 3 games last year.
