Why should anyone care if you think they're still in it?

Awesome...is this the place I keep hearing about here? And just to be sure, is this the place?

Leaving town for D.C. tomorrow, and I'll be staying at a hotel on Connecticut Ave. not far from Dupont Circle. Just wondering if anyone knows of a good place to watch the game on Sunday that's relatively close, or a short cab ride from there. Any takers?

The ball out-of-bounds rule has been around for a long time and it's not going away anytime soon. Some of you may remember the rule coming into play a while back in Buffalo when the Bills knocked some New England wide receiver out cold and made him fumble the ball right at the sidelines, but because he was lying unconscious with part of his body out of bounds and another part of him touching (but not possessing) the ball, the ball was considered out of bounds and the ball went to New England. Pretty much the same thing on the kickoff. If the ball is touched by a player who is out of bounds, the ball is considered out of bounds too, regardless of possession. Thus, kickoff is out of bounds.

Well, they rush three and they still get to the quarterback, so apparently our linemen aren't really able to block very much regardless.

This is the #1 thing that concerns me. I was going to bring it up myself, but thanks for doing the research. We cannot expect to win consistently when opposing quarterbacks have such an easy time completing passes. We may do a decent job preventing the big completion, but we're being dink-and-dunked to death. The thing that gets me is that there is a fairly simple blueprint to beating Pennington and the Dolphins: press the receivers and get some pressure on Pennington. We did neither. Why?

Some athletes have had serious problems when their surgically repaired knees became infected afterward. These types of infections can be nothing, or they can be seriously difficult to treat. The fact that he needed a second surgery to clean out the infection speaks strongly to it being more than just a simple post-surgical infection, though...

If we actually do pick 29th (and not because of a trade), I'll be happy enough to not care who they pick.
