  1. Ran for 267 yards today against the Bucs. Two backs over 100 yards each. Can we possibly give up 300 yards rushing two weeks in a row? 200 is bad, 300 is incomprehensible. And it may happen twice. How did we get this bad?
  2. I have to agree. He may suck, but he's the only lineman out there (with the possible exception of Wood) who's showing any kind of moxie out there.
  3. Give him time. If he gets to work more closely with the starting offense, the coaching staff will have him timid and uncertain of himself in no time.
  4. I thought you were going to say it's the number of points we'll score the next two games.
  5. I love how this topic comes up about every couple of months.
  6. I'm sure they were ready to scrap it last week, but decided against it because every time they huddled, the hometown fans would start cheering and they wouldn't be able to hear anything. At least this way, they'll be in NJ and the only sound will be laughing.
  7. I don't know...we moved it pretty well at home against the last-ranked defense in the league. What makes you think it will be any different next week?
  8. Almost hard to believe that if we had beaten Cleveland, we'd be a game out of first place. Technically speaking, since it would seem more like 5 games out of first place.
  9. He never said he was a first-round pick.
  10. Yes, Sal Maiorana would agree with you.
  11. He actually did look pretty good today, but then again, he was going against a high school offense out there.
  12. Orton was about as awful a quarterback as I've ever seen, when he was playing in Chicago. Now he's in Denver, and throwing for well over 300 yards. I can't imagine a scenario, ever, where Edwards throws for 300 yards.
  13. What a waste. Another useless draft pick. I used to be excited to see him fielding punts, now I just cringe and hope he doesn't turn the ball over. What a sad turnaround.
  14. Rob Ryan of the Browns thinks that the Bengals' Shayne Graham missed that 31-yard FG try in OT that beat them. For those of you on the chat last week during the Bills game, so did I. I saw him kick the ball, and I immediately thought it was going wide right. And I even typed that in the chat -- missed it. When I turned back to the TV, the Bengals were celebrating, and I did a double-take. On replay, I was amazed to see how it curved back toward the right upright, but I still wasn't totally convinced it was good. But I just figured I didn't get a good look at it. Apparently, Ryan is still not convinced. Interesting.
  15. I think what he means is that a win against the Browns really means nothing. Yes, we go to 2-3, but it doesn't tell us anything we don't know. Jauron can beat the weaklings, but struggles against any team with decent talent. It doesn't put us any closer to the playoffs, because it doesn't tell us anything about the team being able to win the tough games they need to win. Any time a critical game has come up in the Jauron era, they've crapped the bed. Sure, a loss will almost ensure Jauron is gone. But a win doesn't do anything.
  16. Are you all familiar with Jason Scott and his Archive Team, trying to archive all of Geocities before it goes poof? Just in case you're interested.
  17. Wow, very cool! Welcome, Scott.
  18. Not bad at all. I should pay more attention to Badol.
  19. Not for much longer. I actually have them winning a game pretty soon.
  20. Of course, Rodgers has been sacked 7 times in this game, so it should at least seem a little familiar.
  21. "Wastin' away again in Margaritaville..."
  22. Well, we did get six sacks yesterday.
  23. Outstanding. I loved it.
  24. Of course, but that's not the point. The point is that you can't play the entire game, every game, playing it safe and not taking chances once in a while. That doesn't mean you take stupid chances, like Favre does every once in a while, but you have to take some chances. There has to be a little bit of 'cowboy' in your quarterback every now and then. Sure, it will result in some bad plays or turnovers, but it will also result in some big plays. It's all about risk-reward, and right now we take few risks and get little in reward.
