  1. Partial ownership really surprises me. Ralph would seriously consider giving up a portion of the team? Also, interesting that the discussion is about a 5-year contract. We've been dealing with 3-year contracts for the "new" head coaches to give them a chance to show their stuff, but even though Shanny is a known commodity, being on the hook for 5 years for that kind of coin is impressive.
  2. Didn't you just say two posts earlier that Marty was far and away your first choice?
  3. Gee, thanks Doc. And to think all those years of med school went for **** and I'm still a retard. Say, if I'm having any trouble with any cases in the future can I give you a ring for a consult?
  4. We were leading the TOP battle at halftime by a couple of minutes. In the end, we lost the TOP battle by 13 frigging minutes. That means we essentially gave JAX the ball for an entire quarter in the second half. Are you kidding me?
  5. No fake. Moorman bobbled the snap.
  6. Good call, but wouldn't that be the network (CBS) TV announcers who need the fact check and not DirecTV?
  7. I don't think we need a report to know that...but thanks.
  8. Actually, I would say the outcome was almost a worst-case scenario, with the potentially career-threatening injury to our promising 1st round draft pick who could help stabilize the offensive line for years to come. But please, carry on.
  9. You mean aggressive enough to not even attempt to put the ball in the end zone before the end of the first half? Is that what aggressive has come to mean to this team?
  10. If I was Levitre or Hangarter, I'd be taking out a big insurance policy on myself. I can't imagine how they've lasted this long.
  11. Unbelievable. I remember thinking earlier that one small positive from this year is that the front three lineman have been playing together the whole season getting comfortable with each other, and then not only does the real promising guy get injured, he suffers a potentially career-ending injury. Just un-!@#$ing-believable. He may be able to come back from that, since he's young and bones can mend, but I don't know. That was just nasty. If I wasn't already completely bummed out about this team and this season, that will pretty much do it.
  12. Playing games? Meh. I'm returning to making games. Although I have been thinking about a console. Given what we know now, any thoughts on which to try first? Xbox or PS3?
  13. Damn, I remember being hoarse after a game. Hell, I remember being hoarse by halftime of some games. Been a hell of a long time, though.
  14. 300-yard passing games are by no means the bellwether of offensive aptitude, but that stat should really hit people like a sledgehammer. It's been three years since a Buffalo QB has thrown for 300 yards. Three years. Peyton Manning is averaging more than 300 yards passing per game this season. He has thrown for more than 300 yards in eight out of the nine games this season. We now think it's a good outing if our QB gets over 200.
  15. Jay Cutler craps the bed, Bears fans have collective aneurysm Enjoy.
  16. If you lived in Salt Lake you could get your hair cut here, and you'd never have to worry. That said, I've never been to one, so I can't say if there are guys cutting hair in their banana hammocks.
  17. Jeez man, are you watching porn on it or something?
  18. Did you get many requests from patrons to meet the chef?
  19. Sure, there will always be something to complain about. Some basketball teams complain that they get left out of the 65-team tourney because they ended up being #66. But you know what? Nobody really pays much attention to those complaints, because there are plenty of opportunities to make the postseason, and they all knew what they needed to do to make it: win their conference. A 16-team tournament that includes the 11 conference winners is a solid, if imperfect, system, because it lets all D-I teams know that you can make the tournament and have a shot at being national champion if you do the one thing everyone already knows they need to do each year: win their conference. Don't win your conference? Too bad. But at least in the 16-team format there are 5 teams that get a second chance. Anyone who complains that they aren't one of those five teams just needs to shut up and win their conference. It's not rocket science, and it's not perfect, but it's exponentially better than the current BCS. We cannot allow perfection to be the enemy of the good here. Go Utes!
