Thurman Thomas, at 5' 10" and 200lbs, had 207 rushes and 18 receptions in his rookie year, when he played 15 games in a crowded backfield that contained Ronnie Harmon and Robb Riddick. That's 225 touches over 15 games: 15 touches per game. He ended up doing okay. Yes, he was a 2nd round pick and not a #9 overall pick, but I don't really care.

I think we're all forgetting how big of a cluster !@#$ this offense was at the opening of last season. Just being rid of Jauron and his disaster of an offensive staff is enough to give me hope of dramatic improvement. Give this group even the semblance of a professional offense and I think we'll all be pleasantly surprised.

I like the positivity. In general, I think people tend to far overestimate the contributions of newly drafted players, so chances are many of them won't pan out as we would like. But still, you never know.
