You're wondering why we might find it interesting that the team we're about to face, who is already down one very good TE, just cut their only other TE on the roster, who also happens to be from Buffalo?
Fitz is smart and throws a nice ball. The main area he has a problem is that he sometimes doesn't throw it high enough for the receiver. That was the reason for the pick in the Raiders game, and for the near pick that Jones had to bat down. He wasn't trying to throw it high to Chandler for the TD, but if he had, it wouldn't have been nearly picked.
You know how some people here on TSW go over to other team's message boards before a game and point out how completely delusional their fans are? Yeah, Patriots* fans are doing that with this thread.
Sign the man! Maybe he can tell us how to stop Brady.
On a more serious note, that really sucks. I mean, right before playing in front of his family and hometown crowd alongside his brother? Man, that's cold.
Please, for the love of all that is holy, do everything in your power to resist the temptation to use the phrase, "struggled mightily."
So...yeah. Carry on.
All I will say is, if the Bills saved all this cap space so they could lock up Fred, Fitz, and Stevie, and then get the job done, then I will be duly impressed.
I don't know as a wideout per se...the better strategy is to have him in as a RB and motion to the receiver spot. That way he's more likely to be covered by a LB or S.
