Man, are we really overstating Maybin's impact that much? The last three games, the guy has a grand total of one tackle, which just happens to be a sack. I don't think he's even been noticeable during those games.

Well, we were the #2 seed before this past game. So that should tell you how much can change from one week to the next. No reason worrying about it now.

I'm with you, John. Practically nobody here thought we'd be 5-3 at the halfway mark with a share of first place. Our defense still isn't very good, but as a whole this team is a lot better than last year, and with the addition of a couple more playmakers at WR and OLB, as well as a healthy Kyle Williams and others, we should be in great shape for the next few years.

Love all of the Braves talk, glad others found it interesting! I just wish I could have watched it. And yes, the NBA died for me when the Braves left.

No kidding. It seemed like every downfield pass attempt by them was completely blanketed.

This puzzles me as well. Sure, the Redskins were hurting -- but then again, they were only hurting on offense. On defense, they had all 11 original starters playing, and their defense has been pretty darn good. And yet, even with all of our offensive injuries and position shifting, we still put up some impressive numbers, including points. I think I read that Fitzy's yards were the most against the Skins defense all year. Injuries weren't the reason Laron Landry missed his assignment and left Chandler open in the end zone. Injuries weren't the reason Freddie ran and caught the ball all over the place against them. By the way, one of the things that impressed me the most about that game was the sequence at the end of the first half. I was pissed when Fitz threw that pick in the end zone, but I actually had confidence that we would stop the Skins, force a punt, and still have enough time to get down the field for a FG try. And we did. To me, that was huge.

I think it's hilarious that so many others do the same thing that I do. I actually almost posted the same thing a long time ago but never did. Honestly, I think he just relishes playing the role of the guy everyone loves to hate. At least Felser had perspective and insight. Nothing to Sully except wrath and bile.
