  1. That would be awesome!
  2. ...when Goodell steps to the podium, he announces the Bills pick as: 1. Gilmore 2. Barron 3. Kuechly 4. Floyd 5. any LT other than Kalil 6. a trade up for Kalil 7. Tannehill Personally, mine are: 1. Satisfied, but not terribly excited. 2. Satisfied, and a little excited. 3. Pretty happy. 4. Satisfied, and a little excited. 5. Hmm, not too sure, concerned he won't live up to the pick. 6. Not too happy that we gave away picks, but excited to have a really solid OL. 7. I'd !@#$ing flip out. I guess I'm more comfortable with the defensive options at #10 than the offensive options.
  3. A cornerback?!? Another !@#$ing first round cornerback??!?
  4. Seriously? So far, Buddy has been fairly open about things, but has he really said anything that would lead you to believe which player they will take? That's the amazing thing about this -- Buddy has said numerous things about the draft that all sound honest and straightforward, but at the same time nobody here has any clue which player or position we're going to take at #10. Take the talk about LT -- he has talked about how comfortable they are with Hairston and how they believe they can win with him. That made me think there's no way they're going to go LT with the #10 pick -- probably round 2 or 3. Then he talks about how the LT position is more important than WR, and how most great LTs are taken high in the first round. Nothing there is specifically misleading, but in the end I have absolutely no idea if they're going to draft an LT at #10 or not. Really, it comes down to this: Who's available, and who the Bills really like. if there's a player available that they think is awesome when they're on the clock, they'll take him, no matter what position he plays. (Hopefully not RB, but you never know.) At this point, we have absolutely no idea who it will be. Bravo, Buddy.
  5. My favorite Bill growing up. RIP.
  6. Cool story, I'm surprised I hadn't heard it around here yet. He went to Westminster College, which is right around the corner from my house. Excellent small college.
  7. Dude, it's the Oatmeal. You mean you don't follow that dude's work? It's fantastic.
  8. I'd love to go to the 49ers game, but I'm not sure if the dates work yet.
  9. I seem to recall us winning a bunch of games early last year. Look at what all that confidence did for us!
  10. Maybe he doesn't throw long accurately because it takes actual time in the pocket to do that? Besides, if you look at a lot of QBs, a good proportion of their long throws aren't actually right on target, they require the receiver to, you know, actually make a play on it. Farve sure got a lot of help from his receivers to make him look great.
  11. Now you're just baiting him.
  12. ...aaaaaand another one gets caught in crayonz's web.
  13. Just like Doc says above, Estro is spot on. The Bills probably would not give Bell a guaranteed starting spot, and the Eagles would. But the Eagles are protected when Peters comes back the following year. So this essentially gives Bell a guaranteed starting spot for decent money and the chance to showcase his abilities for next year's free agency period. That's probably the best Bell could get at this point. And I imagine the Bills are interested in something longer-term, and were not ready to commit big money to him for, say, a four or five year deal. Better to stick with Hairston and see if he can develop, or pick a LT early and have him develop with the rest of the young guys.
  14. Awesome. Thanks for the heads up.
  15. That's funny, I remember him saying something like he feels comfortable with Hairston.
  16. Well, I guess somebody had to say it.
  17. Actually sounds like a different former Bills QB who once wore the number seven but planted trees rather than pushed cereal. (mostly kidding, I don't know anything about him.)
  18. Great horny toads. I was a huge Star Blazers fan growing up. I had no idea a live action was being made. The Japanese version looks pretty cool.
  19. "The answer is almost never E. Good luck."
  20. I guess I don't understand why the Bills would want that. They get a (relatively) cheap LT for one or maybe two seasons, and if things go well, then he likely leaves in free agency for the big bucks. Is it worth it to buy just one or two seasons from the guy? Wouldn't we prefer a longer term solution?
  21. Unless they plan on playing games on days other than Sundays, they couldn't really be targeting Salt Lake City.
  22. They're probably just featuring the "under 30" players.
  23. Good question. I would say, based on what Nix has said in the media, that we're going to look at something other than LT in round 1 and let Hairston be the starter going into camp. My guess is he takes a LT in round 2 or 3 and lets him develop behind Hairston. Probably another LT later in the draft, too.
