  1. There's a guy here in Salt Lake originally from Rochester, I believe, who opened up a diner/grill and serves beef on wecks on Wednesdays with kimmelwecks he gets from a baker around here. Man is that awesome.
  2. The Bills may not be for sale, but if I was looking to buy the Bills when Ralph is no longer with us, I wouldn't wait to get my ownership group together until after he leaves us.
  3. I think one of the most encouraging things I've read this offseason is that Chan thinks CJ's blocking skills have improved dramatically. If that guy can give a decent block now and then, we can really do some cool things with both of them on the field.
  4. Probably a hernia. No biggie.
  5. No kidding. There is only one direction this defense could go.
  6. I think we should find a way to combine the two, then we can just call the guy Powter or Potwell or whatever and skip all this confusion crap.
  7. Part of it is definitely getting past the non-contact practices, but the thing I really want to see is how he does once the contact starts. When you're rushing the passer at full speed while a 300+ pound behemoth is putting all his weight into you, the force on that achilles will be tremendous. If he can get through that a few dozen times a day and still has the same explosiveness, then I'll be the giddy one... I'm just excited about the prospect of getting 5-6 sacks from our backup DE...
  8. Maybe one day we'll see one of the coaches on the sideline break out his iPhone and ask, "Siri, we're down by 3, we have the ball on our 45 yard line, and it's 3rd and 7. What play should I call?"
  9. The problem with Troup is not "can they fix him," but rather, "can they fix him well enough to allow his back to continue enduring the extreme force and pressure that someone in the trenches will constantly face?" I don't know for sure, of course, but I'd say the odds are squarely against it. Even if he does make it back (ahem), the question will always be, "okay, but for how long?" It's a little bit like the Peyton Manning situation -- sure, his neck can be fixed to the point where he can throw a nice ball again, but how well and how long will it hold up to the equivalent of Marcell Dareus blindsiding him or falling on top of him a few times every week?
  10. It just shows how much the fans there care about their team.
  11. Unfortunately he's right. It's one hell of a good movie.
  12. So these will take effect next season, not this coming season?
  13. Well played, Buftex. Not quite at the level of crayonz, but you did manage to hook quite a few more than I thought you would.
  14. Clark just visited with, naturally, the Pats*. Read it on ESPN, I'll look for the link. EDIT: Here it is
  15. I thought I remember Gannon saying that the kneel-down was the right strategy, and that we could probably get the clock down to about 00:15 by doing so. Or something like that.
  16. Love that game. I have it on my DVR from NFL Replay, and I watch it every now and then just for kicks. Gets me pumped for this season!
  17. Wow, this is for real? Holy crap, talk about bad luck. That's gonna take a long, long time to heal and rehab.
  18. That's a bingo!
  19. Thanks, appreciated!
  20. and he was a rookie.
  21. I think I need therapy after reading this thread.
  22. When the Bills start out slow this year because of a tough first half schedule, the media will be dropping off the bandwagon in droves. Then, when they finish with 7 straight wins to capture a playoff spot, they'll be right back on, claiming they never left.
  23. Salt Lake City...land of Prozac and Big Mo.
