    Very cool thread, thanks. I honestly have no idea how this game is going to play out. I worry about the Jets defense. If we can come out and run th eball effectively, I think we'll be okay. That's a big "if", though.

    I'm really hoping that in two days, Brooks is placed on IR and we re-sign Hagan or Roosevelt in his spot so this madness can stop.

    I would imagine at least two WR on the practice squad. Easley for sure, if he doesn't get picked up elsewhere, and probably Aiken. I don't think any of our other WR are eligible. Perhaps someone from another team...

    You folks do realize that a player has to be cut before he can be placed on the practice squad, right? What's so bad about guys like Carder ending up on the PS to help bring them up to speed better?

    The problem is if there is ever a play the front four doesn't happen to get pressure, we could be screwed.

    I really did LOL at this.

    I think this sums it up pretty well. Their defense is strong, and we're going to have trouble moving the ball. I don't think their offense is quite as bad as people are making it out to be. I watched the first few drives in their last game against Carolina, and they moved the ball fairly well, just couldn't convert when they got into FG range. I'm pretty concerned about this game.

    And all I'm saying is that your conclusion that there is enough evidence to say Nix was "dead wrong" is crazy. I hope Wilson succeeds in the NFL. I'd like to see him do well. But who knows if it will happen. And who knows, maybe Nix was prepared to draft him, but didn't think anyone would take him before the 4th. That doesn't necessarily make him "dead wrong."

    Never mind that Pittsburgh was the #1 overall defense and the #1 passing defense in the league last year. We should have dominated!

    So once the season starts and say, Wilson struggles when faced with actual game-planned defenses and has trouble adjusting, do you reserve your right to change your mind? Or are you pretty much convinced that Wilson is a no-brainer after one preseason start?

    Coming from you, I'm suprised the poll question wasn't, "Who would you rather have traded for to replace our suck-ass starting QB,Tim Tebow or Tarvis Jackson?"

    I didn't realize Adams was struggling as much as they say. Interesting considering he was possibly considered in the upper first round.
