  1. Just remember that there are many degrees of ACL injury, from small/minor tears to really severe or complete tears. They all hurt, but you're able to walk easier with small tears than, say, a complete tear.
  2. I just want the record to show that I made no public predictions about CJ's injury. That said, I was 100% convinced it was either a broken collarbone or separated shoulder. Seriously, given how much pain he was in, the immediate call for help from the bench by Lee Smith, the way they immobilized his arm...sure looked like it had to be one of those two to me.
  3. One other thing that I'm noticing about the replacement refs is that they seem to absolutely suck at figuring out where to place the ball after a play is over. They seem to have a margin of error of +/- 1 yard, at least. I've always been impressed with the regular refs at their ability to spot the ball at the right place, but with these replacements, it almost seems random.
  4. I am seriously laughing my ass off at this right now.
  5. I'm not going to say that Fitz is better than Cutler, but when you consider that Cutler is 0-3 in his last three trips to Lambeau with 2 TDs and 10 INTs, they sure do look like they share some similarities. It was Cutler's 9th game with a less-than-50 QB rating since arriving in Chicago. Cutler is getting eviscerated by the Chicago media, with phrases like "pouty quarterback", "questionable leader", and "a disaster" when playing in night games. Fitz may not have Cutler's physical skills, but I'm not completely convinced he's the better quarterback overall.
  6. Seriously, I think we all suspect there is more to the story. Any hints, or are you just going to leave us with that cliffhanger?
  7. I think you nailed it.
  8. I can hardly believe we finally made it to the end (or the beginning, as it were). Thanks for keeping us company.
  9. Very cool thread, thanks. I honestly have no idea how this game is going to play out. I worry about the Jets defense. If we can come out and run th eball effectively, I think we'll be okay. That's a big "if", though.
  10. I agree. I'm betting bladder infection.
  11. But during a home game??
  12. If I ate one of those things I think I'd have diarrhea for a week.
  13. I'm really hoping that in two days, Brooks is placed on IR and we re-sign Hagan or Roosevelt in his spot so this madness can stop.
  14. No kidding!
  15. I would imagine at least two WR on the practice squad. Easley for sure, if he doesn't get picked up elsewhere, and probably Aiken. I don't think any of our other WR are eligible. Perhaps someone from another team...
  16. You folks do realize that a player has to be cut before he can be placed on the practice squad, right? What's so bad about guys like Carder ending up on the PS to help bring them up to speed better?
  17. Seriously. I'd do it if McGee can't go for half a season.
  18. The problem is if there is ever a play the front four doesn't happen to get pressure, we could be screwed.
  19. I really did LOL at this.
  20. I think this sums it up pretty well. Their defense is strong, and we're going to have trouble moving the ball. I don't think their offense is quite as bad as people are making it out to be. I watched the first few drives in their last game against Carolina, and they moved the ball fairly well, just couldn't convert when they got into FG range. I'm pretty concerned about this game.
  21. And all I'm saying is that your conclusion that there is enough evidence to say Nix was "dead wrong" is crazy. I hope Wilson succeeds in the NFL. I'd like to see him do well. But who knows if it will happen. And who knows, maybe Nix was prepared to draft him, but didn't think anyone would take him before the 4th. That doesn't necessarily make him "dead wrong."
  22. Never mind that Pittsburgh was the #1 overall defense and the #1 passing defense in the league last year. We should have dominated!
