It's looking like both Kincaid and Coleman will be out again today...
Rubes replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. It's the easiest and laziest position in a discussion. Take the negative side—if it happens, you get to be proven right, if it doesn't, you get to be happy about it. -

[Unsubstantiated] Rumors of Micah Hyde's imminent return
Rubes replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wonder if he is thinking of retiring after this season and the Bills just want to give him a last chance at being around the team and possibly contributing in a pinch if needed. Or maybe they're not super happy with the backup situation? -

No way he could come back and take over a starting role. He would need weeks to get into game shape and to get back anywhere near where he was before. If anything, it would be like you say: to grab a spot on the practice squad, provide some leadership (though at this point in the season, do they really need it?), and be a "break glass in case of emergency" player. Maybe have him around so he gets one last shot at a ring as a backup? -
Antonio Brown says a little girl thrown down stairs at Bills??
Rubes replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll get back to you tomorrow once I figure this sentence out. -
Solid player. Sometimes it just requires a little patience for someone to come in and learn McD's defense well enough that he can become reliable and play with confidence. There's not a lot of patience in today's NFL with constantly churning coaching staffs and rosters, but one thing Beane and McD do well is stay patient and develop players with a long-term vision.

I am laughing unreasonably hard at seeing this.

Antonio Brown says a little girl thrown down stairs at Bills??

At the Dolphins game earlier this year, there was a Bills fan before the game who was completely hammered standing around with friends near one of the gate entrances, just being completely aggro and trying to pick fights with anyone wearing Dolphins gear. I mean, anyone, didn't matter who. He'd run over to people 30, 40 feet away just to get in their face and see if they'd take the bait. That guy was ready for a beat down. Not that it's related to this situation, but man, I would totally believe that there could have been one of those drunk aggro dudes at the Niners game doing insane crap to just about anyone for no reason. -
@BringBackFergy doing his best @4merper4mer impression. Nice work, I can hardly tell the difference!

Well, he ain’t back yet…

I think it's debatable, but if you consider the return based on the investment in the position, I think you may be right.

Most likely one of either Jordan Phillips or Quinton Jefferson.

Can you recall two devastating failures on the same weekend?
Rubes replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
A friend was talking about how the big money in betting might have played a role. I don’t know. I can certainly see the incentive, but it just seems too improbable that both teams would put all the effort into positioning themselves to win in the final moments, only to throw it at the last second. Am I just too naive? -
2 tickets in the lower bowl, Bills side. Section 133, row 35. Right at the 45-47 yard line, great seats! For a Bills fan, you can have them at face value. Would love to fill the seats with Bills fans! PM me if interested.

We all know the more Josh wins, the better Lamar's chances.

I just posted about this on the previous page. If SF loses to both the Packers and Bills, their playoff chances are less than 10%. If they win out the rest of the way, they can get it to about 50-60%.

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan Says Brock Purdy Might Not Play vs. the Bills 😮 Didn't really see in there where he says that, but still... FYI, weather for next Sunday currently looking like 25 degrees at kickoff with snow most of the day (and week), with winds around 10 mph. Fun times!

According to the NY Times simulator, the 49ers currently are looking at an 18% chance of making the playoffs. If they lose to the Packers, that drops to 7%. If they beat the Packers, it rises to about 30%. So this is a pretty big game for them. Not a great game to be missing your starting QB and your best defensive player. Their division is super tight right now, but the 49ers are 1-3 in the division, so their best path to the playoffs is winning their division, which means beating the Rams and Cardinals later this year. Beating the Bills is far less important to their chances. That said, if they lose to both the Packers and Bills these next two weeks, they would essentially have to win out the rest of the way. They can basically only lose 2 more games this season to even sniff the playoffs, so a loss to the Packers this week would really put their backs against the wall.

A little trip down Bills/Chiefs title games history
Rubes replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
That '93 game was something else. Very impressive win, should have been followed up with a SB win. But alas... -
Joe Marino had a discussion about this on yesterday's podcast with his guest. It's theoretically possible to resign all 5 of Groot, Bernard, Benford, Shakir, and Cook, but not very likely. Best case scenario is probably 4 of the 5, and Cook would be at the bottom of that list, despite how effective he has been this year. I have a buddy who bets a lot on games, and he bet on Cook to achieve some individual stats last game. He was bitching about Cook not being in the game that much against the Chiefs, and I tried to explain it's because the running lanes are clogged, the Chiefs are blitzing a lot, Cook has had some dropsies, and Ty Johnson (and even Ray Davis) is a much better blocker. He couldn't believe the Bills were keeping "their best player" off the field, thought the Bills deserved to lose, and the Bills coaches were terrible. Oh well.
