Yeah, nothing new, really. Like others have said, JP was big on Buffalo, and Fitz was happy to be here, too. In the end, it's a good feature, but not the most critical one.
The collar in the picture has a much smaller/thinner white band around the collar. Contrast it with this (more hideous) one:
Now I'm not sure, maybe you guys are right...perhaps the smaller collar is only for the cheaper jerseys, not the authentic game jerseys. I sure hope they change it.
Not sure if posted already, but it appears that, lost in all of the draft glory, that ridiculous collar on the jersey appears to be a thing of the past.
I agree, I'm pleasantly surprised how often I've been hearing praise for this guy. I'm excited to see what the new staff brings to the table on both sides of the ball.
Dammit, they've sucked me in again.
Time will tell, but for me it makes for a good potential rivalry. Certainly these guys are not in the Kelly/Marino class of QBs, but it was always fun to have a division rivalry headed by the QBs, and I hope this gives a little more oomph to the Bills-Jets games. At least until Geno implodes and the Jets crash and burn.
Lots of "experts" are panning the pick (see: NFLN), but I think most of us are psyched about it, particularly with the well-timed trade and extra picks. If Minnesota hadn't freaking sold the farm to the Pats* (for Cordarelle?) this would have been a ideal first round.
Nice ESPN article on Barkley.
I could be sold on this guy. A separated throwing shoulder worries me a bit, because once a shoulder's separated, the more likely it can get separated again. But he has all the tools, and he appears to have really great accuracy and touch on the ball.
Everybody's saying he's a second round QB, but as Buddy has been saying, sometimes you have to take a guy a round earlier than he's projected.
