  1. Right. Nobody really cares at this point about the PED use or the fact that everyone did it, it's about how aggressively and nastily he went after anyone who dared suggest he was using PEDs. Here's an interesting summary of the nastiness.
  2. Of course, it partly depends on what your definition of "the worst" is. One of the threads on OTW a while back asked for the worst movie of all time. My answer was the first of the three Star Wars prequels (Episode I). Not because it had the worst acting of all time, or the worst plot of all time, or had the worst box office performance of all time -- but because it had so much to work with (money, actors, marketing, special effects, creative license) and ended up being just so colossally disappointing overall. It may have been a success at the box office, but it sucked horribly. Not as bad as some really terrible flicks, but it was the massive difference between potential and realization that made it the worst. So there are some truly horrible coaches that didn't have a lot to work with and accomplished nothing (Hank Bullough), and then there are those who had considerable talent to work with and severely underperformed (Chan). Who was worse? I'm tempted to say Chan...although Hank was truly a trainwreck of a coach.
  3. Ah, that is probably a good point. But I suppose he could kneel down and call the TO immediately.
  4. Couldn't he just catch it and call timeout immediately, even if he's in the middle of running?
  5. I recall a long FG by Lindell against KC in overtime that he made, but was called off because of the "freezing" timeout. Then he proceeded to shank it. Do I remember that correct? Of course, that's the only incident I can think of, which doesn't really qualify as proof. In fact, probably the opposite.
  6. Whatever you say, hot shot. I would say at this point, even with three games left to win, that the Pats* are now definitely the favorites and their odds of winning it all have increased significantly. I sure as hell hope they lose, and anything is possible, but the Broncos just made it a whole lot easier for them.
  7. You're entitled to your opinion, as I am mine. I don't think it's a "ridiculous" assumption.
  8. Good stuff, thanks. I hadn't seen or heard of the copper mugs before. I made a similar drink a couple years ago for a party that I found in a book, called the "Dark & Stormy". 1 part dark rum, 2 parts ginger beer, and a lemon twist. Poured over ice. Everyone liked it.
  9. They really didn't show both games in most places? Salt Lake is considered within the Denver market (if you can believe that), and we still got both games.
  10. In my dreams. I hope you're right.
  11. Good one. That's called the "Moscow Mule", for reasons I don't know. I had it for the first time this past Hallowe'en, and it was indeed awesome. I had it another time at a restaurant here in Salt Lake. I could get used to that one. It's not a new drink, but there is a restaurant/whiskey distillery in Park City called "High West Distillery", and their stuff is all over Park City and Salt Lake. I had a Manhattan there, and it was fantastic. Some really great stuff, and I'm in no way a whiskey guy.
  12. Here's one for you: Whitner whiffs on Harris to give him the TD.
  13. Damn. Broncos just handed the Lombardi to the friggin' Pats*.
  14. I don't know who the user "Bills Over Jets" is over on that site, but his avatar is absolutely brilliant.
  15. I wouldn't mind Welker, if the price is reasonable...which it won't be. I think we're just a good #2 WR away from having a solid core of WRs, with Nelson coming back. I'd prefer someone like Bowe to Welker, but I'd prefer a veteran to a rookie.
  16. Sigh...what a game. I can hardly believe how fast Sam Adams was, given how incredibly large he was. It certainly seemed like we knew exactly what the Pats* offense was going to do that day on every snap. Milloy had to play a big part in that. Also, watching Bledsoe reminded me what a cannon he had for an arm. Looks like he barely flicks his wrist and the ball travels half the field. Wish we could find an arm like that again.
  17. If we take Milliner, another 1st round CB, then we'd have two 1st round CBs taken right after each other. Assuming they both pan out, what are the odds we can afford to keep both of them after their rookie contracts are up?
  18. Stopped reading there. You're out of your mind if you think an injured, soon-to-be 32-year old running back is going to get you a 3rd round pick.
  19. Barkevious Mingo is the most awesome name I think I have ever heard in my life. I don't care how good he is, I want him on our team. "Mingo the Merciless"...
