  1. Oh my. After putting that in Google Maps, I realize I've actually seen a game there once. In fact, it was the Flutie vs. Johnson game after Doug was cut and signed by San Diego. Bastards beat us 27-24, as I recall. In the end, of course, it made little difference -- the Chargers improved to 5-2 after that game, but didn't win a single game the rest of the season, so there's always that solace. That was October 2001, twelve years ago! Thanks for the reminder, I'll be looking forward to it!
  2. I'm going to be in San Francisco the week we play Cleveland on Thursday night (October 3rd). Is there a place Bills fans in SF gather for games, even if it's a Thursday night game? I'd love to hang out and watch the game with Bills fans rather than by myself at random sports bar.
  3. Matrix parts 2 and 3 are, for me, on par with Star Wars Episodes I-III. Horrifically bad sequels that took great, simple, classic storylines and made them so !@#$ing convoluted and confusing that nobody could tell anymore what the hell was happening or why. That, combined with absolutely **** dialogue. Those scenes in Matrix 2 and 3 that take place in Zion, especially with the Kid, are so god awful they make me want to violently retch. The worst part is, anytime I'm surfing channels and I see one of those on, I have to watch. Yeah, I have that much self loathing.
  4. Congrats. So are you going to tell everyone how you did it so the next guy doesn't have to ask again?
  5. Damn this is good stuff. I'm lovin it, thanks.
  6. That's a great list, thanks!
  7. Love it...thanks so much, Mike. MOAR PLEEZ
  8. Thanks, man. This **** is like crack.
  9. Thanks everyone for the Twitter feeds.
  10. Where are you all getting this info from?
  11. Love, apparently in all the wrong places.
  12. Boy did I have a different experience. Did the same thing, asked for customer retention, and got a CSR who didn't seem particularly enthusiastic about retaining my business, at least for Sunday Ticket. Without any questioning, he just went right ahead and cancelled it from my service. Afterward, he went through my account and ended up giving me enough discounts per month for the next six months to cover the cost of ST, but it never dawned on him to instead offer ST for "free". So I had him add it back, and basically I'll get it for free this year. Then he nicely upgraded it to ST Max for nothing extra, although I don't really need it. Strange, but got the job done, I guess.
  13. Far too much to admit publicly.
  14. Pretty interesting that he wasn't able to participate fully in any of their workouts. I had no idea he had an injury, certainly not one severe enough to keep him from fully taking part in their workouts. Maybe so...
  15. What, and defile the greatness that was Gary Marangi?
  16. Good grief. Go outside and get some sun or something.
  17. Got that too. Can't wait!
  18. This really really makes me miss Bruce Smith.
  19. I just did that myself at a restaurant in Orlando and it was fantastic.
  20. I'm excited to see what the kid can do with this offense, but I'm wondering how long before the "he's in way over his head" posts start popping up...
  21. Possibly, but I doubt that with Parker as his agent.
  22. I'd be interested to see the previews of the other three AFCE teams, to see if they predicted a first-place finish for everyone.
  23. But the Bills gain nothing in this scenario, except perhaps the shallow satisfaction of not allowing Byrd to get his payday. Sure, they retain his rights, but he would never be ready for the regular season, and almost certainly wouldn't play up to his potential because of it. So they still get Byrd, but they get him at less than his full playing potential. That hardly helps the team. Byrd thinks he should be the highest paid FS in the league. The Bills disagree. Byrd's not willing to back down on that, because eventually someone will pay him. The Bills either want Byrd at less than the highest-paid FS salary, or they want some compensation for losing him to another team. The end result of this is that neither group gets what they want, at least not for a while.
  24. That game still drives me crazy. I had a plane to catch that night, and I waited as long as I could to board the plane so I could watch it in the terminal. Once Freddie scored to put the Bills up by 11 with 5 minutes left, it was final boarding call and I got on, with no way of knowing how the game would end. I arrived late at night at an empty airport, giddy with excitement at the prospect of a road win against the Pats*. I found a TV on with a sports ticker running on the bottom, and my jaw hit the floor when I saw the final score. It was like I got punched right in the gut.
