  1. Nice ESPN article on Barkley. I could be sold on this guy. A separated throwing shoulder worries me a bit, because once a shoulder's separated, the more likely it can get separated again. But he has all the tools, and he appears to have really great accuracy and touch on the ball. Everybody's saying he's a second round QB, but as Buddy has been saying, sometimes you have to take a guy a round earlier than he's projected.
  2. If we sign him, I'm sure there will be plenty of people here upset that we overpaid for him since, you know, we're only bidding against ourselves at this point.
  3. Looks good to me. He has some serious touch and accuracy.
  4. I would be quite happy with that, John. I'm just not sure Woods will be there at #41. I have to think, though, that if Milliner is still there at #8, it might be him...or, better yet, a trade down. I think the Jets would grab him if he's there, so maybe that would entice someone.
  5. By the way, do you ever go back after three years or so and evaluate how you did, in terms of ranking and estimating success?
  6. As long as we're back at it, I offer you this steaming pile of **** that just won't seem to ever go away: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8q8kB87APc God, just hearing this makes me violently ill.
  7. By chance, my wife has a business trip scheduled for this week. She leaves Wednesday and returns Saturday night. Now that's what I call good planning.
  8. I would just remember that if we trade down all the way to #31, then it's crystal clear to everyone that we'll be taking a QB at that spot. There are plenty of teams ahead of us in Round 2 that will know this and may just as readily jump ahead of us.
  9. I don't know...with only 6 picks and tons of needs, I can't see them giving another one away.
  10. Nobody thinks we'll take Star? My money is on Barkley. I would not be unhappy with Nassib or Manuel.
  11. I find it fascinating that so many people think we're taking a QB at #8, but we have no idea which one.
  12. So synthesizing all that the various people are saying, we can conclude that this year's draft class probably has a few solid starting QBs in it, but nobody can really say which ones they are.
  13. I think I'll go out on a limb here and say that if the Bills pick Landry at #8, this entire board will implode.
  14. They weren't even just a bad defense. They were an historically bad defense. Almost unfathomably bad. And yeah, you heard me. An historically bad.
  15. If the Jets deal Revis (or perhaps even if not), I wonder how likely the Jets would go for a CB at #9. If very likely, then perhaps Atlanta would switch with us to get ahead of the Jets.
  16. Sweet, good work. Thanks for keeping us up to date on that.
  17. But isn't that the point? Teams trading up with us aren't interested in who we are taking, but rather who the teams immediately after us are taking.
  18. I'm excited to see what Bradham can do in this new defense. I think he did quite well for a rookie in the kind of defense (4-3) that he's not really built for. Pettine is going to set him loose. As for TJ, I have no real reason to expect it, other than I think he does have talent, speed, and a little more size than I was expecting. We'll see if the game starts to slow down for him a bit -- but I think he can turn into a decent outside guy if Hackett knows how to use him.
  19. If Graham can get his act together this year (and I'm expecting him to), then this would have been a very good draft.
