Right now he's also faster than both, which would help if they tried anything other than straight up the middle.

Lewis's performance makes Tuel relatively expendable. Attend same time, though, we can't seem to keep a QB healthy, so I wouldn't be surprised to see us keep 3 QBs on the roster.

If this defense can start getting its act together and hold an opponent under 20 points a few times, we might have a chance. But yeah, it will probably take the better part of the year for them to really get the system down.

My objection is that the front office often touts how they "re-sign their own draft picks" instead of going after high-priced free agents. Then they go out and sign Mario Williams, while refusing to sign long-term contracts with two of the only moderately successful draft picks we've had in the last decade. Gross simplification, I know, but still.

From the two videos, all I can tell is that he's quick, runs well, has a fairly live arm, and does reasonably well with the short-to-medium throws. His longer-range accuracy is a little suspect, and he makes some head scratching throws every now and then. It will take him time to become comfortable in the offense, and he'll turn the ball over a few times. But he'll probably do well enough to make the games interesting, although unlikely we win many unless the defense really picks it up.

Funny how it doesn't take long before someone asks the "what if" question.

I think the issue is that most folks here want to buy "The Champagne of Beers" in the hopes that they'll actually be getting champagne.

Marrone mentioned in one of his press conferences that he would be back, at least practicing. But I didn't hear anything about him playing on Sunday.

I thought I remember reading that he injured his back while blocking Haden on a play. Stevie's got some issues, but I will never doubt his abilities. We need him out there, badly.

Strange, I actually think Chandler has done fairly well this year so far, especially considering he's still not all the way back from a pretty serious knee injury.
