  1. Certainly seems like they kept a few people around with the expectation that they'd be picking someone else up. We need a backup guard and another CB pretty badly.
  2. I'm sure Brad won't be too upset about that. I could certainly be making this up, but his body language throughout the preseason basically said he wasn't very interested.
  3. Personally, I think we should rename this thread the "Dumpster Diving" thread.
  4. I don't see how anyone could be okay with TJ Heath on this roster, but what do I know.
  5. That's a good one, I like it. Might be too buried to follow, though.
  6. If they end up keeping Heath and cutting Butler, I will have some serious doubts about this staff.
  7. Amazing how after the second preseason game we were doing pretty well injury-wise. Damn if we don't just have some **** luck.
  8. This right here. In fact, I think pressures are what made the D look so good in the first two preseason games.
  9. He's an unrestricted free agent. He can sign with anyone who will have him, full team or practice squad.
  10. I'm pretty sure EJ will start, I think this is just Marrone keeping people (ie, Pats*) in the dark. If not, whatever. Tuel can just launch it every play and get 15 pass interference calls.
  11. I'd give Fred and Kyle a bit of a break, as they're both coming back from injuries/surgery. Usually takes a little while to get back in form.
  12. Great tribute. Thank you for sharing.
  13. Seriously? EJ wasn't looking so hot in that first game, up until the 2:00 drive. He has his share of miscues in the second game as well. He's looked as good as I've hoped, but he'll be making plenty of mistakes this year once defenses start trying to confuse him. I'm totally on the EJ bandwagon, but sounds like everyone is getting a little giddy.
  14. Just to make sure I didn't miss something, you start with this: and finish with this: Shouldn't you be holding your horses?
  15. Yeah, thanks for sharing. I remember the Bucs from back then, and how cool I thought it was that they made the NFC Championship Game. I remember the defense, but I had forgotten all about Ricky Bell. I never knew any of that story.
  16. Along those lines, here's a decent Kool-Aid-drinker article from Yahoo on the defense: Jairus Byrd's Arrival Final Step Toward Dominant Buffalo Bills Defense in 2013 And yes, !@#$ you, Dave.
  17. Kevin Elliott is out for the season on IR...
  18. Ed Werder ‏@Edwerderespn32m Regarding Jarius Byrd: Acrimony remains, will take time to adjust to scheme, get in football shape, may even hope for eventual trade By the way, Astro -- sounds like Wood and Brown are starting to jell, would you say?
  19. Glad to see others are happy that we got rid of the toilet seat. Oh, wait -- should we not be discussing such inane topics here?
  20. Yup, that's exactly what I was thinking...
  21. I'm starting to think this, too. I think the jist is that Easley needs to show enough to make Smith expendable, similar to the Hopkins/Lindell battle. Sounds like he has. I'd like to see us keep 7 WRs, the three extras being Hogan, Rogers, and Easley. We all want so much to like Rogers...
