  1. Does that seriously say 455 yards rushing in one game?
  2. Putting Tuel in there against the #5 defense in the league sounds like a pretty solid plan, though.
  3. For some reason, the yahoos at Yahoo decided to rank all 32 teams in terms of their neediness at QB for next year's draft. The Bills are way down there at #23: Interesting notes: New England* is up there at #16 ("Tom Brady is aging more quickly these days"). New Orleans and Drew Brees is right behind them at #17. Miami, Buffalo, and the NYets are #22, #23, and #24. There are actually four teams ahead of Tampa and Mike Glennon. Discuss...
  4. Jesus, if this team didn't have ****ty luck, we'd have no luck at all.
  5. Good stuff. The main things I got from that: - Thad needs to do a better job at recognizing the blitz and looking for the right hot read - The WRs need to do a better job at recognizing a blitz and going to a hot route - Our backup RBs (Choice, Summers) need to do a better job recognizing the blitz and picking up the right guy - Chandler is a much better receiver than blocker - Our offensive line is really not a big part of the problem Most of those above are related to the younger, less experienced players. That will come with time, I think. I hope they get it together before Sunday.
  6. I'm with you on this. I think the rumors of his demise have been greatly exaggerated. While I hope this is the case, I won't be putting any nails in that coffin until he's clearly going down.
  7. You got that right.
  8. I don't know...the mug shot isn't very flattering.
  9. If it's the one I remember, where Gilmore clearly should have been called for pass interference, I don't think the receiver caught it. Dierdork couldn't believe he wasn't flagged on the play.
  10. ...and the 80's, and the 70's...
  11. Great stuff, thanks for sharing that, Ken.
  12. Maybe it's all just a smoke screen to confuse the Saints.
  13. Of course that's true. But the question is: if the Bills get hammered, what does that mean? Will we need to fire some coach or cut some player? Cause that's probably what it will seem like around here.
  14. Not sure why, but that definitely made me LOL.
  15. It was like watching the teams' final preseason game, with all the scrubs playing.
  16. Depends on how much time he gets on the practice field. If he's able to start practicing in two weeks, then it will be at least another week before he plays, I would imagine.
  17. That was an editing nightmare, not to mention the inaccuracies (we came back from a 14-point deficit?) That other article on the TBD homepage from NO was another gem as well. Bill Marrone?
  18. What's the story with Sheffler? I thought he was supposed to be a pretty good TE. Is he old? Injured?
  19. Plus...how can you not root for a guy like Thad?
  20. The Saints are ranked #11 in total defense. They're actually #11 in rushing defense, and only #24 in passing defense. So it sounds like they're better at defending the run than the pass. The 5.1 YPC stat is strange, given all of that. As it turns out, opposing teams have rushed only 135 times against the Saints, the lowest in the league. So teams are able to rush reasonably well, but they're just not trying it very much. Sounds to me like teams are having to give up on the run in order to pass and play catch up. They're also #4 in scoring defense. This is a good defense, which is helped by their incredibly efficient offense. The key is to do everything we can to keep their offense in check so we don't get too far behind too quickly, forcing us to give up on the running game.
  21. Fingers crossed that they can keep that up this week.
  22. My first thought when I saw Carpenter's kickoff only went 1-2 yards deep in the end zone was, "Oh ****!" Then I thought, well that's not so bad, our kickoff coverage (unlike punt coverage) has actually been quite good, especially with Easley. Then I saw him run outside and I thought, "Oh ****!"
