  1. With respect to #3, I have seen EJ throw some passes with really nice touch. He has that ability, and he can do it. I just think he doesn't always understand when to rifle it and when to loft it. As for #6, I'm just not sure that CJ is recovered enough to turn it loose the way we/he wants to. I agree wholeheartedly with #5 and #7. Especially #7. A hundred times #7.
  2. A couple more stud linebackers to go with him, and this defense can be nasty.
  3. My largest concern is that the Bengals came out with an outstanding offensive game plan to counter our defense. Hopefully that didn't give Miami (and others) too much of a blueprint to work off of. Then again, I don't know if Miami has the offensive weapons that Cincinnati has to take advantage of it.
  4. First Miami (off last week), then New Orleans (off this week), both on the road. Man, does that suck. Then we get the (likely) undefeated Chiefs and their top-5 defense. We must have really pissed someone off this year.
  5. Well, there goes the web site. Happy birthday. Hope you get this before the crash.
  6. I have a personal vendetta against the phrase "struggled mightily", if anyone gives a ****.
  7. It's pretty amazing how good he has been on kickoff return coverage. As for WR, it may just be the coaches giving Hogan the first shot before giving way to Easley. Who knows. Sure would be an interesting question for the reporters to ask.
  8. No kidding! Where was he on 3rd down in overtime, instead of Hogan??
  9. Which just makes me wonder which team will be giving him his big FA contract once we decide not to re-sign him.
  10. Glad somebody got that one.
  11. I'm pretty sure Miami was thinking the same thing a couple weeks ago. Didn't work out too well. I'm expecting the same when we travel there. But who knows...
  12. I'm just glad we have one or two decent options for backup QB on the roster, finally.
  13. If you mean, signing Matt Flynn in order to boost the chances that a rookie QB plays lights out for the starting spot, then sure. I'm all for it.
  14. If you like that one, how about this one?
  15. NFL Shutdown Corner on Yahoo So we at least got that going for us...
  16. No...you mean:
  17. Right now he's also faster than both, which would help if they tried anything other than straight up the middle.
  18. Lewis's performance makes Tuel relatively expendable. Attend same time, though, we can't seem to keep a QB healthy, so I wouldn't be surprised to see us keep 3 QBs on the roster.
  19. If this defense can start getting its act together and hold an opponent under 20 points a few times, we might have a chance. But yeah, it will probably take the better part of the year for them to really get the system down.
  20. It was the opposite. Byrd was ready to go, but Marrone shut it down.
  21. I'm having déjà vu all over again...
  22. My objection is that the front office often touts how they "re-sign their own draft picks" instead of going after high-priced free agents. Then they go out and sign Mario Williams, while refusing to sign long-term contracts with two of the only moderately successful draft picks we've had in the last decade. Gross simplification, I know, but still.
  23. Wait, he won't get on the field until his hand is 100%? Where's the outrage?
  24. Of course, you can feel free not to open or post in threads that you believe are a waste of time.
