  1. Chandler is having a career year, actually. Currently tied his career best in catches with two games to play. Is he great? No, but he's coming off a major knee injury, and it's not like he's playing poorly. One fumble, yes, I know. Robert Woods has had the most catches by a Bills rookie since Lee Evans, and is 16 catches away from the Bills rookie record with two games to play. This, after missing 4 games with an injury. And playing what many think is the most difficult position for a rookie player. Oh, and yes...ROBEY
  2. Right now they're saying high of 43 degrees, 70% chance of snow, wind at 17mph. Sounds good to me.
  3. I went back to that play to try and figure out how the hell a guy breaks free for a long run against this defense. It's just maddening that it's happening on a regular basis. Best I could tell, it was Manny Lawson who failed to fill the gap. Looks like he got pushed to the outside. Kiko was blocked from the inside by an offensive lineman who made his way to the second level, but it appeared that it was more Manny's job to fill that gap. Or to fit it up, whatever the hell that means.
  4. Of course, they should have. They blew two chances for touchdowns by fumbling at the 1 yard line and throwing an INT in the end zone late in the game. By all means, they should have won that game. Just like we should have won the Atlanta game, the KC game, the Cincinnati game, the New England game........
  5. Man, it's been a long !@#$ing season.
  6. Not sure if I was reading something else, but they did have some good things to say:
  7. I know he's had some struggles this year, but how do you not just love this guy? In my mind, he's one of the bright spots on the team this year. For a rookie, and a small one at that, playing one of the most difficult positions for a rookie--he's shown to me that the game is not too big for him. He's given up a few TDs, yes, but he's also making some big plays. Yesterday, he had 6 combined tackles, a sack, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Not bad for a guy who plays nickel corner at 5'7" and, maybe, 165 lbs. Love seeing this guy out on the field. Hopefully the experience makes him even better next year.
  8. I wouldn't be so certain. 5 catches for 54 yards today, and he was constantly open and made good catches. He and EJ seem to have a nice rapport. It's a position that can be upgraded, for sure, and his blocking is not very good, but he's a nice target to have. I can see him sticking around to bring a young guy along -- whether it's Gragg or somebody new.
  9. I'm with you on that.
  10. Always love seeing a Bills win. Thanks for the recap, Bill. For the life of me, I can't figure out why this defense can't seem to stop the run. Another no-name RB tops 100 yards, and the yards are there in big chunks. With all the talent on that side of the ball, why can't anyone figure this thing out?
  11. From Fan Friday... In response to this question... ...came this answer: Now, I know we don't put a whole lot of stock into what CB has to say, but these are some fairly strong words coming from him. It really sounds like we'll be seeing some folks get cut this offseason we might not expect. Stevie certainly comes to mind, but it does make me wonder who else. Oh, and also this point: Kind of interesting given all the goings-on in the Rogers thread.
  12. Great job, Ken. I enjoyed reading that, but yeah, there's a lot of tough realizations in there. My parents knew a number of the Bills players from back then, but I don't know how much they knew about the hardships that so many of them went though.
  13. Cool, nice find. But let's be honest about a couple of points Sully made back then: Sully doesn't exactly sing SJ's praises. When he does talk about his value, it's in the context of Chan Gailey's offense. Perhaps the point he's trying to make now is that, with Chan gone, his value has gone down tremendously. And another one: Again, not exactly singing his praises, and when he does talk about his value and ability, it has to do with the chemistry between him and Fitz. Who, like Chan, is no longer here. Point being, perhaps the things that made SJ so valuable in the first place (Chan and Fitz) are now gone, reducing his value to the point where he is no longer an important asset, and thus the reason for Sully's change of mind. Of course, it certainly would have been better to point this out rather than to say he was against the re-signing of SJ. But I'm not sure I would call it a complete 180.
  14. Hehe, that is awesome indeed.
  15. Please, stop. You're killng me.
  16. There, fixed it for you.
  17. But you could tell...YOU COULD TELL
  18. So do we now think Marrone would still be sitting at 4-9 if he was hired by the Bears and inherited Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffrey, and Matt Forte rather than EJ Manuel, Stevie Johnson, Robert Woods, and CJ Spiller?
  19. 998 posts. So close.
  20. Good point, that would eliminate all of the entertainment.
  21. Now that is just some classic stuff right there!
  22. In all fairness, it does seem like Sully has been making a concerted (perhaps too concerted) effort to try and be more positive this season, instead of the usual crabby jackass. To knock him now for reverting back to form isn't completely fair, given that most of us felt sick watching that "performance" on Sunday.
  23. I think there should be a requirement of at least 1,000 posts under your belt before you're allowed to respond to a 4mer thread.
  24. Have to agree with this. I can't recall a season where there have been so many ridiculously bad calls -- either terrible calls, or no-calls. I know there's probably some recall bias here, but I just seem to be flabbergasted week after week, and I can't remember it happening this frequently.
  25. Given your good instincts, and given that we could really use another playmaking OLB on this defense, who do you see as an option for us in round 1 or 2 next year?
