  1. Well, I don't know if I'd go so far as to say Tuel is a quality NFL QB, but I do think with time he can be a successful backup QB. Mostly my point was that I think his physical skillset isn't as terrible as people seem to make it to be. I think his arm strength is pretty decent, and he was slinging it with nice velocity the other night. I also think he is a good athlete and can scramble quite well, as Collinsworth pointed out during the game. I actually think he can be fairly comparable with Fitz, given continued development, only with a slightly better arm.
  2. I guess I'm one of the few who agrees with you.
  3. We get it, you disagree with John. I think it's quite encouraging to see how strong both our offensive and defensive lines are becoming. When was the last time we could say that?
  4. During Eli Manning's third drive, when he went against the backups and drove the length of the field for a TD (mostly on running plays), Randell definitely looked lost. He was directly responsible for losing contain on two of the long runs. He may have done well the remainder of his time on the field, but I didn't watch him after that drive.
  5. Well, here's about 9 minutes of highlights from last year showing quite a few of those passes you're looking for.
  6. I want to know what the over/under is for threads tonight that state, "RELAX, THE SKY IS NOT FALLING!!"

  8. Man I had to blink just to make sure I saw that right. I wondered if that graphic would pull you out from the shadows. Nice to see you again. I'm hoping the same, but hearing we may see a lot about JBJ in tomorrow's Buff News.
  9. It's definitely not over. Buff News may have some new stuff on JBJ tomorrow.
  10. The problem is that this is all just the same information being regurgitated by different writers. It's not like these are all separate sources providing independent confirmation. They're basically just taking the information from Wawrow's article and rehashing it for themselves.
  11. I think he should let someone like me speak as an average fan from Utah, rather than assuming what one might think or say.
  12. Neither of those links work for me. Also, In.
  13. That actually seems to make some sense.
  14. Yep, this.
  15. Not necessarily. According to the Forbes list from 2013 (the one where Buffalo was listed with a "team value" of $870 million), only 7 teams were listed with a value over $1.3 billion—Dallas, New England, Washington, NY Giants, Houston, NY Jets, Philadelphia). The article was written a year ago, and at the time they said the values of NFL teams went up by about 5% from the previous year, so those numbers are likely inflated again by another 5% or so right now. But generally speaking, those numbers are around what they are now, so most teams were not already valued at more than $1.3 billion. If the Bills, valued at roughly $900 million, are sold for $1.3 billion, that's nearly 150% of their current estimated value. Do the other teams now reap a similar benefit? If the league's most valuable team, the Cowboys, were valued at $2.3 million in 2013 (more than 2.5x the value of the Bills), and the Bills now sell for $1.3 billion, do the Cowboys maintain that 2.5-fold value over the Bills and are now estimated to be worth $3.4 billion?
  16. Me before posting this topic: Me after reading this topic: Me right now after thinking about it some more:
  17. Technically, I thought the official bids have not yet been submitted. Those were to just get in the door as a finalist before the final bids are placed.
  18. That's what I figured, but then the question is: does the value of all 31 other teams instantly shoot up, leaving the Bills still as the third-least valuable team?
  19. Is it really, though? Isn't appraisal at least in part based on the price that other houses (and yours) have sold for? If I bought my house for $100K 10 years ago, and I could sell it now for $300K, isn't the house worth $300K? So would it be fair to say that, even if the Bills sold for $1.3 billion, their value would still be considered in the bottom 3 of the league?
  20. I'm definitely no businessperson, and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so I'm left pondering this question. After the sale, what happens to the actual "value" of the Buffalo Bills? Right now, Forbes values the Bills at around $870 million, which IIRC is third-lowest in the league. Obviously, the sale will go for much more than that. If the Bills are sold for, say $1.3 billion, does the value of the Bills then become $1.3 billion? In the Buff News article from today, one person had this comment at the bottom, which I think is appropriate: After the sale, do we continue to talk about the "book value" of the Bills as $870 million? Or does it now shoot up to $1.3 billion? Do the Bills now become one of the more valuable teams in the league (which seems silly), or does the value of all other teams now become higher as a result, keeping the Bills near the bottom of the league in terms of value? How do things like this work?
  21. Love it. Sounds like a one year extension, but it's totally worth it. Don't think this means anything for Spiller. One of the best Bills ever!
  22. That looks awesome!
