  1. Seriously? He has all the freedom in the world to say whatever the hell he wants. That doesn't mean it can't come without consequence. What you say matters. There's no constitutional right to say whatever you want without taking responsibility for it. On a side note, we should seriously start a "Bring the Clips Back to Buffalo" movement.
  2. Finally watched the episode last night. Yeah, they're veering way off in the events at and beyond the Wall. I don't remember any direwolves getting caught by anyone north of the wall, and Bran and his group never came across anyone besides Coldhands and the Three-Eyed Crow once they got past the wall (except for some Others, of course). And nothing was described about what happened to the Craster boys other than stories...
  3. Well, at least we know you're not prone to hyperbole or anything.
  4. Damn, that was one convincing article.
  5. Hell of a first game to attend! The atmosphere at that game was beyond electric.
  6. http://espn.go.com/n...r-says-play-nfl On playing in the NFL at age 52: On Donald Trump owning the Bills: On a possible future with the Bills: I don't even know what those words mean. Good stuff, Herschel.
  7. Man, that's the truth. What a weekend that was.
  8. People always seem to overestimate the trade value of their own team's players. At this point in his career, with his history of antics and injuries, we'd be lucky to get a 5th for him. Maybe, maybe, a 4th. But I doubt that. Even considering trading our #9 + Stevie to move up is foolish. It would take our #9, Stevie, and considerably more. But we're not trading him anyway.
  9. Brother-in-law has seasons, so I'm totally there for this one. Can't wait!!
  10. I agree...I don't know if it was ever definitively stated in the books that she was pregnant. But I also think GRRM didn't have much of a plan for her character and thus probably was okay with letting her get killed on the show.
  11. You know it's a good thread when Tossy shows up...
  12. You never know. It could be something readily treatable and not terribly aggressive, like prostate cancer, or some types of skin cancer. Who knows, we'll see. But yeah, what a !@#$ing offseason.
  13. Ugh. Not a fan, plus I agree with WEO -- would just smack of trying to make some money at a time when we should be honoring the man. Not only that, but why would we want to wear black at the home opener, when it would likely be hot and sunny? (Ignoring any talk of a home night opener, that is.)
  14. I know it's not a concept that is terribly helpful in a discussion like this, but a draftee's talent isn't always enough to overcome a poor team, poor coaching, or just poor circumstances. Just because Haloti Ngata turned out to be All-Pro with the Ravens, or Russell Wilson lit the world on fire with the Seahawks, doesn't mean they would have been equally awesome on the Bills.
  15. Exactly. They tried and failed. Because he is a very good LT.
  16. I'm not sure I'd quite go that far, but then again, I'm no Tom.
  17. So you think the last two years other teams weren't looking to exploit a rookie/2nd year LT?
  18. Here's a quickie I made. Tyrion definitely gives her a glance right as he's reaching for the cup. She's blinking like crazy.
  19. Hmm, good question. I'd have to go back and see. Probably not as much foreshadowing there, though.
  20. There's also a nice touch during the wedding itself. When the septon is marrying them, he says, "Cursed be he who attempts to tear them asunder." At that moment, the camera is showing this:
  21. Yeah, I think that's probably the only way in the TV show they could justify that kind of response. But it would work! Yeah, I think they did it that way in the TV show just to speed things along. But in the books, he meets with her many times, probably as a way of earning her trust.
  22. Littlefinger is supposed to be off at the Vale wooing Catelyn's sister. But we know he's not really there, at least at the time of the wedding, since he's on a boat at King's Landing waiting for the fool to bring Sansa to him. There is nothing in the TV series that seems inconsistent with this. He'll probably show up in the next episode. The one interesting thing about Shae in the TV series is that, at the pre-wedding lunch, Tywin tells Cersei to "have her brought to the Tower of the Hand before the wedding". That makes me think he will somehow interfere with her leaving King's Landing, and bring the storyline back to where it should be in the books. If Tyrion thinks she's gone from King's Landing, and then sees her in Tywin's quarters during the prison escape, that would make for a powerful scene. Another interesting change from the books -- Sansa is given a necklace by the fool instead of a hair net, but it seems it still played a role in Joffrey's death. In the scene in the TV show where Lady Olenna walks up to Sansa at the wedding feast, they show her fondle Sansa's necklace, removing one of the jewels. You can see the necklace with the missing jewel multiple times after that. But they don't show how it gets into Joffrey's cup.
