  1. I guess the one thing I don't completely understand about this school of thought is the following: The Bills may represent one of the best opportunities for a JBJ-led group to purchase a team, because (1) teams don't go on the market very often, (2) they have limited financial resources, and (3) the Bills are one of the cheapest teams in the league to buy. Yes, hanging in there and completing the process does make them look better in the eyes of the NFL for the future, but wouldn't staying in and driving up the price of one of the least expensive teams in the league only going to make it more difficult and expensive for them the next time? If they are only borderline in being able to afford the cheap Bills right now, what hope would they have of buying a different team the next time -- whenever that may be -- if they now help drive up the price of the cheap seats? Does it really help them for the future more than it hurts them?
  2. Dude, have an awesome time!
  3. It varies from state to state, but in many situations an autopsy is required by law. Sudden or unexpected deaths that may have medical/legal issues, injuries or poisonings (including drug overdoses), and the like often fall under this situation.
  4. Can you imagine the complete clusterf***k if, after all this, the trust decided to sell to JBJ?
  5. He certainly looked like he has the skills for it.
  6. Yep, I thought that one was on Chandler. EJ put the ball where it needed to be.
  7. Dude, thanks for reminding me of that one. God, I love those. The submitted comments are just as hilarious. And then there was this gem from last year:
  8. I find it odd that more people aren't bringing this up. And I don't see nearly enough parking in that plan.
  9. These guys are learning a new system between them and the WRs, one based on steps and timing. Things are going to be rough at the start. I think Thad's got game, or at least the potential to be a solid backup. Guy didn't even have a pre-season last year. If he can cut down on the fumblies, I'm fine with him as a 2-4 week stopgap.
  10. So is it safe to say that everybody here agrees EJ must prove himself after two seasons of play or he's a bust?
  11. I know, I mean by round 3 we might have 15 bidders!
  12. For crying out loud, Eli played more than 2 series because the first one was a 3-and-out, and the second one ended quickly with a sack/fumble turnover. Plus, they're installing a completely new offense. "Obviously" their group needed more work, they weren't going to let them finish the night that way.
  13. Well, with Trump reportedly on the list for $1 billion, the trust will almost assuredly get what they are looking for -- a final sales price above $1 billion.
  14. It would help if you at least tried to understand the sales process before posting these ridiculous statements.
  15. This whole "opening up the bidding process again" bit, especially to the JBJ group, is making this sound like the whole bidding thing is not going as planned, and they're likely concerned about the low number of bids submitted. It almost makes me wonder if the initial reports of "many people" expected to bid on the team were just intentional plants in the media to help drive up interest (and price). It also makes me think that the commitment to Buffalo is a big part of the deal (not just the current lease). Otherwise, I'd expect to see a ton of people bidding, since the Bills should represent one of the cheapest NFL teams to come to market.
  16. I think you should take a look at your username and take some of your own advice.
  17. I think, as I recall, the idea is to have one finalist picked by the end of August. I'm not sure if I remember that correctly, though.
  18. Well, I don't know if I'd go so far as to say Tuel is a quality NFL QB, but I do think with time he can be a successful backup QB. Mostly my point was that I think his physical skillset isn't as terrible as people seem to make it to be. I think his arm strength is pretty decent, and he was slinging it with nice velocity the other night. I also think he is a good athlete and can scramble quite well, as Collinsworth pointed out during the game. I actually think he can be fairly comparable with Fitz, given continued development, only with a slightly better arm.
  19. We get it, you disagree with John. I think it's quite encouraging to see how strong both our offensive and defensive lines are becoming. When was the last time we could say that?
