  1. True, though I was kind of also referring to the fear and uncertainty of the last few years, not knowing if/when Ralph might pass and not having any real clue what might happen then...
  2. Man, this has been such a long, painful process...hard to believe we're this close...
  3. So glad I'm coming back for the home opener this weekend. This could be a party of epic proportions.
  4. Yes, they did. I asked my brother-in-law (Bears season ticket holder) if that was typical for Soldier Field, and he said yeah, it was not unusual or done on purpose.
  5. They did play Bon Jovi early on right after the first Bears TD. I thought that it might have been intentional, but my Bears-season-ticket-holding-brother-in-law said they play their stuff all the time. In somewhat related news, the National Anthem was sung by a guy well-known to Chicagoans for doing it at Blackhawks games -- it was unreal. For some reason, when this guy does the anthem, the fans cheer loudly throughout the entire song, from start to finish. It was absolutely wild. Never seen or heard anything like that.
  6. If that was truly Kyle Williams, that thing would have knives poking out everywhere.
  7. Couldn't have said it better myself. I can't believe I actually read through this entire thread without bashing in my own skull.
  8. Speaking of Star Wars, anybody catch this story? Kinda interesting to watch.
  9. From a doc's perspective, I always hesitate to ever think you're totally "cancer-free", but this is just about the best news I could hope to hear.
  10. I like the optimism. If we beat Chicago, the media will all be about how the Bears are overrated. If we beat Miami, we'll be thought of as the second-best team in the division. If we beat San Diego, we'll be thought of as a legitimate wild card contender. If we beat New England...then they'll be on the bandwagon. It just takes wins.
  11. Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Filed to ESPN: Broncos WR Wes Welker has been suspended four games for use of amphetamines, per sources. Albert Breer @AlbertBreer Per sources, Wes Welker has been suspended for four games for violating the NFL's PED policy. It was for amphetamines.
  12. Uh, if you click on the link, you can find the Buffalo article in the list on the left side.
  13. Jay Skurski @JaySkurski · 47m Alonso will rehab here in Buffalo. He said he's on schedule in that regard, and would not rule out a return at some point this season.
  14. This is the #2 "Why Your Team Sucks" article I look forward to each year. Not as good this time as past years, but still pretty darn good.
  15. Boy, no kidding. On the other hand, it seems everywhere Orton has gone the starting job eventually went to a franchise-caliber QB. Maybe that's the spark we need.
  16. I say that because we are now in a position to "hope" for someone as thoroughly below average as Orton to come in a week before the season starts to learn the playbook and be our dependable #2 QB.
  17. He'll be cut and placed on the practice squad. Seems like the Bills are keeping their PS players on the roster until tomorrow.
