  1. So McCoy should be an upgrade, but not re-signing Spiller is a problem? McCoy replaces Spiller. If you're worried about the cap hit, don't worry too much. The hit goes down next year, and they can always restructure to spread it out better (which they almost certainly will). I don't see the problem here. It really sounds like it comes down to trading away Kiko for you. Yet free agency hasn't even started yet, so we don't yet know what will replace his absence, or even, as others have suggested, if we don't particularly need another OLB. Either way, it seems a lot more prudent to be patient and see how this plays out.
  2. True. Levitre's departure hurt us, but it didn't exactly do wonders for TEN.
  3. I'm guessing the TV show writers are going to deviate strongly from GRRMs plans for the books for one main reason: to give the fans of the books a reason to keep watching. I know plenty of readers who will not watch the show anymore until the books come out because they don't want it spoiled. But if they publicly state that the show is going to be very different than what GRRM told them, then it won't necessarily be spoiled. Tough sell, though.
  4. Now that's what I want to hear. Get this man back, Doug.
  5. Well, it's not much news, but it is breaking. Mike Rodak @mikerodak Some minor Bills news to pass along: team will not be tendering RFA tackle Chris Hairston. Mike Rodak @mikerodak Unless Hairston eventually comes back at lower price than RFA tender, Bills will need backup swing OT. Unless Kouandjio can step up.
  6. Brother in law is a Bears season ticket holder. Very glad to be rid of Marshall, says he's a cancer.
  7. Which was the answer to why he could come to the Bills.
  8. Wait, I thought he wouldn't go to a team without a QB?
  9. It will be interesting to see what happens next week, when about $10 million of Cutler's salary becomes guaranteed. That's when they either commit to him or cut him. I think it's on Tuesday. Edit: It's actually when the $10 million becomes guaranteed for the 2016 season, so if they pay it that means they are committing to him for the next two seasons...
  10. I don't see why he wouldn't excel in a ground and pound offense. It would just have to be at the right price.
  11. I'm sure his homicide was just taken out of context.
  12. Well, IIRC we don't really know what happens to Varys after the death of Joffrey, do we? I think he just disappears, and doesn't re-emerge until the end of Book 5, though I'll admit I don't remember it very well at this point and could be wrong. I thought he re-emerged in King's Landing to facilitate the death of Kevin Lannister, in order to help perpetuate the chaos that could assist in the return of the Targaryen kid. Of course, I don't believe GRRM imagined he went east with Tyrion, but I suppose the TV show could do almost anything with him at this point.
  13. Banking just a little bit on Kouandjio, don't you think?
  14. Please, let us be able to sign Hughes and one solid Guard. I would be totally stoked at that point, even with our QB situation. I'm expecting a lot of games next year like the opener at Chicago. Good defense, good running game, EJ asked to make a few key plays but not much more. Win.
  15. He was the McCoy I first thought we traded Kiko for, which caused me great indigestion.
  16. Perhaps, though he still had many years left in his tank. I'd still prefer not relying on their cast-offs.
  17. If I had to pick between shelling out big bucks for Hughes or one of these TEs (and I'm not certain we'd have to pick, but still), I'd go with Hughes. I want him back to keep this defense top notch.
  18. Meh. Great respect for the guy as a player, but I don't want the Patriots** sloppy seconds.
