    Or the receiver, #11. Both of those guys whiffed, blowing up the play. It makes you realize how hard it must be for a single offensive play to succeed, given how many guys have to execute their roles just right.

    There is a collection of (fair-weather) GB fans at my workplace. I'm so sick of hearing them. When the Bills beat them last year, it was pure glory for me. I told them it was my Super Bowl. If it wasn't for that, I'd totally root for GB. But I just can't take all of their gloating.

    I believe false starts can be declined as well. In fact, I don't think there are any penalties that explicitly cannot be declined. We just don't see false starts ever declined because there just aren't any situations where that makes any sense. Except perhaps this one, where the defense doesn't want the offense to move back 5 yards.

    That may be true, but WRs don't get drafted in the first round and talk about how talented they are and how much they can impact the team because every throw hit them in the numbers.

    That's kind of freaky. I have a shirt with the old logo on it and I was looking at it just this morning and thinking the same thing.

    It's really great stuff. I think we tend to simplify the job of offensive linemen as just the concept of "block the guy in front of you." But there are so many nuances to blocking and scheme that we don't usually pay attention to or see. It's so rare to see all eleven guys do everything they're supposed to do, but when it happens it's a thing of beauty.

    Well, at least Cincy is as healthy as they've ever been for a Week 6 game. So we have that going for us.

    Personally, I would prefer a better RB than Boobie at the #3 spot (I'm on the 'why didn't we resign Bryce' train), but we also see the impact that ST can have on the game (e.g., yesterday), and I have no problem with keeping a below-average RB who also happens to be an above-average ST player at the #3 spot.
