  1. My thought was that Jon would warg into Ghost and then have his body resurrected by Melisandre, after which he wargs back. But like former Kiko said, it doesn't seem like they've set this up on the show, so maybe they'll just have him resurrected by Melisandre and skip the warging part.
  2. These things happen every year. Guys get contracts that are outrageous for their position and performance. Teams will overpay, especially for above average talent if it's at a key position like LT. Hell, most other teams probably thought we were nuts for giving Clay the contract that he got. Guys like Glenn hold all the marbles, and teams know it.
  3. This concept seems to be lost on many every year. Top 5 money doesn't mean top 5 player. It means whoever is up for a new contract gets to raise the bar, even if it is disproportionate to their overall ranking.
  4. That's pretty cool, I must say.
  5. I think it was Bobcat Goldthwait who used to joke about how Huey Lewis looked more like your friend's dad than a rock star.
  6. It heartens me to se how well this group has responded to the original request.
  7. I think I'd almost prefer closed practices at this point.
  8. Right, which is one of the main reasons why it came across as so relevant. It was like GRRM saying, "this is how wargs can potentially survive death, just in case you were wondering."
  9. Thanks for keeping us updated. Hope he can turn this around.
  10. Nice. My wife is 5'10" and 145, awesome, and a redhead. Well done.
  11. The thing I'm interested to find out is, if she does save him, then how? There's no sense from the books how Thoros is able to revive Dondarrion, and it doesn't seem like he needs any king's blood or the like. I had thought that Melisandre was perhaps going to sacrifice Shireen in order to save Jon -- which she might do in the books, but obviously she can't do that in the show, so who knows? But then again, if Thoros can do it without king's blood, why couldn't Melisandre?
  12. Never thought I'd see the day. I want to see them create a waiting list for seasons just so I can say I lived long enough to see it.
  13. I liked that scene. I'm not sure I'd go quite so far as to say there is more foreshadowing in the show than in the books, but they do seem to be going out of their way to imply that she has a role to play in Jon's future. I certainly shouldn't have said "no foreshadowing."
  14. The funny thing is, you know after reading the books that nobody is dead unless it is absolutely clear that they are dead. And even then, some of them can still come back to life, like Catelyn and Dondarrion. But yeah, the show specifically did not show Stannis dying, or for that matter the Hound. Although I think Stannis is dead, we didn't actually see his head get chopped off, so I suppose it's possible that he's not...
  15. That sounds pretty convincing, but I have absolutely no doubt that D&D and GRRM would purposefully keep the fate of Jon Snow secret to everybody, including Kit, just to make sure it doesn't get out. It's one of the biggest uncertainties of the books as they currently stand, and I'm sure nobody wants that little nugget to be leaked. I'm sure they knew *everybody* would be interviewing Kit this offseason wondering if he'll be back, and this would be the way to ensure nobody finds out. Of course, it's possible that he doesn't come back next season, but the season after that...? There's too much foreshadowing of Jon Snow's importance for him to just be gone for good. Perhaps, as others have suggested, he may return in a different form... That jump was basically an adaptation of a similar scene from the books, involving Reek and a different character. My sense is that they were trying to show her realizing that her interpretations of the visions from the fire were all wrong...and that she may now realize they were about Jon Snow, not Stannis...
  16. Yeah, I think you said it well. Most of the storylines at least resemble what we know in the books (except for Stannis and Sansa, of course), which is an improvement. Interesting how they merged Sansa and Jeyne Poole there at the end, with the dive into the snow. As for Melisandre, I agree, I think she'll be the one to bring JS back, though there's no foreshadowing of it like there is in the books. If there was some Ghost reference at the end, I would be more confident in that.
  17. I think we'll see something dramatic tonight with respect to Jon Snow's fate...
  18. Love me some pancakes. Real maple syrup, with some strawberries on top. Also, no french toast lovers out there?
  19. Rex Ryan + All 4 defensive linemen in the NFL Top 100 + solid LBs and DBs = A pretty ing good defense, in all likelihood.
