  1. Except for the fact that Carpenter most likely would have made the FG if it were not for a bad sack that TT took on 3rd down instead of throwing it away, pushing the attempt back significantly. TT did a nice job moving the ball down the field on that drive, for certain, but it's not like he didn't make some important mistakes, like the above, that potentially cost them points.
  2. Thanks again for everything, Astro. You are like the first drink of water after crossing the desert.
  3. I guess the nice thing is that, even though TT was missing open guys, he was still able to make positive plays and keep the drive alive. That opening drive was impressive even though it ended up with no points. TT needs to figure out how/when to slide or get out of bounds, and when to throw it away to avoid the sack. Sometimes success scrambling leads guys like him to think he can get out of anything, which just leads inevitably to a big sack that either takes the team out of FG range, or makes it harder resulting in a miss. Thanks for the review, Cleve!
  4. Pretty amazing the range of opinions on TT and EJ. Pretty much both ends of the spectrum on each. Crazy. I have to say, I have no idea myself who the better QB is right now. I'd like to see EJ with the 1s, but I think both can do well with more reps. I don't think either is quite ready yet, but both have some good qualities and some bad qualities. Tough call.
  5. Especially since it would mean we did such a crappy job of it over the past 15 years.
  6. Think he'll hit the market, like Russell Wilson or Philip Rivers did?
  7. Damn, are we going to have to attach yet another asterisk to their name?
  8. Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Cardinals' LG MIke Iupati is likely to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery this week that would sideline him 6-8 weeks, per source.
  9. The one for the Browns is !@#$ing hilarious. "I do these previews every year, and frankly I’m just wasting my time with the other 31 teams. The Browns are the original suck. They are the epicenter of suck."
  10. I can't find anything scientific or analytic about that. Sounds to me like someone eyeballing Murray's workouts, and claiming success when it happened to work in his favor.
  11. May very well be. That would be more sensitive than a hernia, I'd guess.
  12. Oh for God's sake, can't people around here just grow up for a change?
  13. I do get the sense that the team is leaning towards (hoping for?) Tyrod to excel in practices and the game this week, which would make their decision easier. That said, I also think there is definitely a realistic chance that it goes the other way. If TT struggles (as he did today), doesn't play very well in Thursday's game, and then EJ is actually given a week's turn with the 1s for the following game and does reasonably well....
  14. But it went into the hospitality tent. The hospitality tent, for the love of all that is holy!!
  15. Can't. Season can't start until we pick a starting QB.
  16. I think there should be a policy to not post any tweets from Rodhack. Just on principle.
  17. Different positions, I think. Powell was the main backup for the ILB spot, IK is backing up the OLB/DE spot.
