Given the need to sign some key players to new contracts this offseason, I'm not sure I see the Bills going for another high-priced vet on the DL. For me, I'm wondering if this is the offseason that we see Beane go all-in for the defensive difference-maker in the draft. We need a game-changer, a Josh for the defense, and if he can get one on a rookie deal for 5 years, all the better. We have decent draft capital to move up. Could that be what he's thinking?

Not sure I agree. Texans have a legit defense, and defense still wins championships. Injuries have hurt them this year, but they have enough offense to pull out a playoff game or two if their defense comes to play, as they did against the Chargers. As for the Broncos, I think their defense was not as great as everyone thought, based on their competition during the regular season. Plus their offense is nowhere near the Texans.
