  1. Oh I see, I thought you were referring to just having the ball straight up and down, not slanted to one side or the other. I was just saying kickers often like it slanted, I wasn't referring to a slant in one direction or another.
  2. Yep, I know. That's what I meant.
  3. Lots of kickers don't want the ball straight up. They often tilt it a bit. We can blame the holder, of course, but I'd be willing to bet he was coached not to play around trying to rotate the ball, given how cold and slippery it was. Especially since the kicker did fine with the laces earlier.
  4. I remember some announcer using it for one of the NFL games this year, but I can't remember the context. Probably one of the overtime games.
  5. Anything containing the phrase, "struggled mightily." God, I hate that.
  6. I actually think it was kind of clever. Sorry, eball, I didn't mean to bring this back up so everyone could take a shot at you.
  7. Tyrod isn't even Top 3 for Bills QBs over the past 16-year playoff drought. At least, according to our favorite, Sully: 1. Ryan Fitzpatrick; 2. Drew Bledsoe; 3. J.P. Losman; 4. Tyrod Taylor; 5. Trent Edwards; 6. Rob Johnson; 7. Kyle Orton; 8. EJ Manuel. He still has Losman as better than Tyrod. "To me, Taylor is a more talented and efficient Losman, but needs another year to prove it." Click if you dare, but really, I wouldn't do it if I were you
  8. Kind of funny in retrospect. Not funny "ha ha", though.
  9. Not unless he's totally cool with blocking most of the game. You never know!
  10. Yes! And learn what it means to be a blocking WR.
  11. As long as they can stay healthy, I agree. Big question mark, though.
  12. Blitzing Brady is asking for trouble, as everyone knows. If you can get to him by rushing four, that's the ticket. But I do think there is something to be said about blitzing just to knock him on his ass a bunch of times. Problem is, he's good at recognizing those things and getting rid of the ball fast to avoid it, which can limit the hits.
  13. Yeah, I don't disagree with this. I was not one of the ones who was unhappy with the trade and pick, but I think there are several examples of giving up more than perhaps was needed for certain players. But I also feel that there are circumstances that dictate these things that are hard to avoid at certain times. Mind you, I am very happy with Whaley and I will be glad if/when the extension is announced.
  14. Ha, I just did that for Sully. Couldn't figure out why I had him there in the first place. Vic seems like a decent guy, though.
  15. I'll admit I was a little surprised to see you down on the move, but that criticism is fair. I think Whaley's weakness is in the way he has overvalued certain players or positions, giving up too much either in picks or contract money. But at the same time, I think he has been good at identifying and bringing in talent. I think we are a stronger team talent-wise because of his moves, but a bit more vulnerable from a resource standpoint. It's a tradeoff. Not every GM can excel at everything.
  16. Excellent stuff. You had me at "secretarian violence."
  17. To me, it looked like Tyrod was looking in that direction, but Glenn let his guy slip by on the outside, forcing TT's timing off. At the point where Glenn's guy is nearing TT, that's the point when he had the TE wide open for an easy score, but he couldn't set his feet and throw it.
  18. Man, you aren't kidding. I'm so sick of this crap year after year.
  19. True, but at the same time, Fitz was killing us when we did blitz.
  20. I think it's Sully acting as "Deep Throat".
  21. And oddly enough, Buffalo was 7-0 in all of the games he passed for less than 215 yards. He didn't need to pass for more than that. The offense was designed to be balanced and not require big passing days.
  22. "All options are on the table right now."
