  1. This thread is filled with so much awesomeness.
  2. You may get some crap from some drunk fans at the game, but I think most would say wear it proudly. Hell, I have a #2 Dan Carpenter jersey (bizarre but great story), and I would expect more crap about that one.
  3. It certainly looked a little strange to me. I can't tell why, but it just didn't seem like her own body. But they must be able to do some pretty slick things with the software. The Cersei actress wouldn't get naked in front of everyone for the walk of shame scene, but there were definitely shots with her head and a naked body, so...
  4. The surgery was already done a few weeks ago? Meh.
  5. I totally would root for Cleveland in any sport, except perhaps football. But just as long as Buffalo wins it all first. Does that make me a bad person?
  6. I saw a lot of nice solid throws over the middle in that highlight film. That's a good thing.
  7. I'm sure they'll offer every game the last few years where the Bills blew it against the Pats*** in the last minute.
  8. I told a GoT fan friend of mine about the newly released chapter, and his response was, "I haven't read it... I don't want the book to spoil the show." Classic!
  9. Not sure, really. The chapter is newly released, but he has presented it (read it aloud) at a couple of cons already, within the last couple of years. So the content was already released some time ago; this is the first time people can read it themselves.
  10. Actually, the one I find more reasonable is the theory that Bloodraven (the Three-Eyed Crow) was the one who whispered to Aerys, making him go mad and setting into motion a chain of unfortunate events. Now, he is teaching Bran to be a greenseer, but telling him he can't communicate with people from the past...when he clearly can, at least to some extent. So some believe Bloodraven is telling him that to prevent him from communicating with the past and making the same mistakes he made...possibly because Bran can be more powerful than he is...
  11. The 1979 Buffalo Bills story I know these have been posted before, but it's been a little while and I came across this one today. Man, the memories. 1979 was an interesting year, with Jerry Butler lighting it up as a rookie, Fergy becoming the first Bills QB to surpass 3000 yards (!), Roland Hooks looking remarkably elusive, and the defense starting to look nasty. For us old timers, skip to 9:33...remember the "Way to Throw, Joe!" sign on the scoreboard? That damn scoreboard, always with burnt out lights everywhere. They missed the playoffs that year (friggin' Broncos with yet another last-second FG in our house), so I figured everyone would feel right at home watching it. Oh well...at least it wasn't, "Movin' Right Outta Buffalo."
  12. Lot of good stuff in there. Some interesting insights into the defense and how some (Mario) didn't fit in, and how the absence of strong leadership impacted things.
  13. Do we hate Whaley again now?
  14. I think you got it all right.
  15. There's a guy here in Salt Lake originally from the Buffalo area, who owns a nice diner in town. He serves beef on weck on Wednesdays at lunchtime. Good sandwich, but it's not quite the same. Says he has the kemmelweck bread imported.
  16. Regardless of what we think, Slauson will not be terribly interested in being a "depth" acquisition. He has played very well, so I'm sure in his mind he's looking for the best opportunity for him to be the starter, wherever on the line that may be, and wherever that gives him the best deal.
  17. We call it "stinky feet sauce".
  18. I'm sure they'll be lining up for it. What do you charge, $0.25 a "pop"?
  19. I bet those are really good, actually. Not as good as the originals, but still. The best ribs I've ever had, and likely ever will, are from our local Japanese joint nearby. Teriyaki ribs, cooked all day. Oh man.
  20. It all depends on what position he's most interested in playing. If it's center or guard, he might pick SD. If it's tackle, he'd probably pick us.
  21. Seems like a legit question for this thread. Yeah, what gives?
  22. I'm with you on this. Give Miller two good vets on either side and watch him improve. At worst, he slides in to RG and one of the others steps in at RT.
