  1. As for the Pac 10, from your lips to Great Merciful Zeus' ears. And the weakness of the conference of which you speak ensures Texas a role at seasons end. That loss will feel like it happened in a prior lifetime after another season of big games. College football is short attention span theatre. .
  2. Delivery human... that I like. And it's a tip. The question is do you yourself tip for bad service or not. I can't help but put a little down no matter how sideways the meal goes. I suspect your wondering about how harsh you're being comes from the same place. .
  3. Thanks for that. Rochester media was a mystery to me.
  4. I for one am glad they are giving J.P. the keys to this thing. When he picked up the over-his-head snap running toward the GOAL LINE on his FIRST pass attempt, I nearly choked on a piece of ham. The safety came from the same instinct -- make a play. Who knows what he and this team are capable of ? They'll figure it out. .
  5. I'd rather have you assign a KTFBD rating than go with the quarterback rating. What if they had two more rushing touchdowns on drives he led ? Same rating. It is just nuts. But I'd bump him to 87 for the snap over the head 20 yarder to Josh Reed of all people. When is that ever going to happen ? Worthy of a bonus. .
  6. Well said. He is physical freak and a weapon that the Bills will someday figure out how to use. They have to find a way to put him in space. That broken swing pass that he turned into a highlight reel should not be something that happens only by accident. .
  7. I follow them some, and the Giants are just another line. The whole league seems to gamble on saving money at the position and coaching guys "up". The game suffers for it. It wasn't so good a line that it saved Mcnally's job there. I liked this, I think it's typical. Giants O Line and Mcnally .
  8. Strange, but what the hell... I honestly like the guy. Size, speed, great rehabilitation story ( I know what kind of commitment that takes ) and I really don't pay much attention to the Wonderlic goofiness. It's just a test that some players took more seriously when they were barely 20. And I'm glad it hasn't become the iconic story that I feared-- athough if they sit at 4-9 it may become Clements', " interceptions put us in the Pro Bowl " all over again. He couldn't have known that his comments would have me huffing solvents until dawn. .
  9. Not at ALL feeling terrible after the loss. Did anyone keep track of the D-Line rotation ? I was sure that the 4th quarter would not be a problem if everyone stayed on the bit. I expected some 2nd and twelves, some tough third downs if they were fresh and active. And I expected the (long) pass to set up the run. But who knew what they were going to do ? Certainly not Belichick for nearly 40 minutes. Best news of all is that that Patriots team is going to get beat some. The worst part of the loss might be falling behind in the playoff tie-breakers. .
  10. I keep trotting this out. The play was one a good team does on a good day. And they were having a VERY good day. It really ought not of mattered. The Pats were reeling as Bob in STL said. It was careless in a good way ( and probably in a bad way too). .
  11. It has looked a mess on every viewing; I don't doubt that Fowler got abused. Up until that point I thought that the O-line was delivering better than expected. The Bills looked like a team that was going to run when it wanted to run. 4th and 1 didn't strike me as a critical play. Were they really that much worse from then on ? I don't think I can pin the shutout that followed on them. .
  12. Deciphering what Willis means when he talks is not a job I would wish on anyone. You are a brave, brave man. But hey, Willis isn't stressed by the confusion, and it's turning out to be a small part of the 4th and 1 story, so I guess I'll relax as well. .
  13. That looks worse in print than it sounded. Seriously tho' thanks for that. I thought maybe I was dizzy from lawnmower fumes and hallucinated the whole thing. .
  14. I had no luck finding one when I posted, figuring I was early. It might be up to WGR550 that has the quote on tape to make something of it. Any chance they're burying it now that Jauron is selling it his way everywhere else ? They 4th and one talk elsewhere seems not to wonder about Willis hesitating in the hole, and where his head was at. Wish I could say the same. .
  15. I think it's that simple. I honestly think that the way that game was going, they weren't much into the points ahead calculation. Aware of it to be sure, but thinking " we can do this" and if we don't, well, we've been pretty good on both sides of the ball. Let's play it like a team that matters. I am on board with that attitude. .
  16. Astonishing. O.K. He's a different cat, Wonderlic challenged and all. Maybe a play is a play to him and it doesn't matter AND it works for him. Can someone not tell him that the team now comes under "attention to detail" scrutiny ? Or that we all have to hear more crap about the Patriots "superior preparation". More pressure for everyone.
  17. You didn't know it was 4th and one ? You thought it was 3rd and one ? Why say it out loud and ruin my day. I thought it was the little things that got the Bills beat. That is a pretty big one. You had two hours to figure out something to say, but that dribbles out. .
  18. Has it been mentioned that the Bills were the longest shot on the board ? As geeked as I was about their chances, it never ocurred to me that it would have been like betting on the 16th best horse in the Kentucky Derby. I was a coin toss from taking the money line -- I really thought there was no obvious reason that they couldn't win. And it would have been a "good" loss. Same for them I guess. .
  19. Bears fans wouldn't believe it if they saw the tape, they would figure it was some CGI trick. I woulda' done it too. .
  20. They're in tough... the REFS are a little bit tight. The zebras are anticipating, guessing at spots, imagining out of bounds... but what are you gonna' do. Hope it's a case of 1st game jitters, but I'll accept WE WUZ ROBBED...
  21. NO HOMER SPOT. Please.
  22. Simms you pantload, Fletcher does not remind me of Zach Thomas. .
  23. 3 and OUT, are you kidding me ? Beyond my wildest expectations. .
  24. And to think we luddites would have been denied the pleasure if SDS hadn't tried to cauterize or optimize some freebase something or other. .
  25. Randall Gay is still a Patriot. And for a Patriots fan, Gainzo seems an unfortunate handle given this threads devolution. .
