  1. A team from the 0 and 3 Big Ten ? Perish the thought. .
  2. I'll second seeing heavy Youbouty duty. Poor Craig Nall saw a career oppurtunity. Now what ? And who doesn't want to see more of Coy Wire. Who can possibly form an opinion on this man of mystery ? .
  3. And then USC in a biggie. Finish strong PAC 10, finish strong. The UCLA loss was a disaster. Not quite a home game, but still... I guess Dorrell only had room for one big win after all. .
  4. These Denver snow stories are a little bizarre... CNN should maybe find a new hobby. I just got back from Colorado and they seem to like the snow. They do however abandon their towns and cities to the slush along I 70, better to keep the highways clear for recreationalists (and interstate trucking, I would assume). Works for me -- they have their priorities in order. .
  5. Not on Sunday he isn't. If he can nurse Manning along (how far the mighty have fallen...) and win a couple more, his reputation will be rehabilitated. The Giants are good enough to make that happen. .
  6. See it, but not for Estella Warren. Cheeky Monkey
  7. Ridiculously excited ? Ridiculously confused ! Blacked out, then out of civilization for a few weeks, then... PLAYOFFS ? PLAYOFFS ? Can it really be so ? What a difference a month makes. .
  8. Barbara Pinson didn't bring enough heat ? It's a lousy story for Buffalo. Good for Ralph being the squeaky wheel on revenue sharing. It shows that he is very much alive ( though I have to admit that I chuckled at JSP's " buddy Lamar " suggestion ). .
  9. That is a freakish run of disciplined, error free secondary work considering the rookies. With any luck the bye week could have come a little earlier. It seems to have been good medicine... .
  10. That stat needs all kinds of context. The Bills have shelved the revolutionary run the ball for no gain offense that they employed earlier in the season. 16 runs to your "weak" side over five games might not be so out of whack now that the ball is in the air. Less running plays to go around. .
  11. Very CFL, but what the hell. The Jets run challenged dink and dunk offense should make Coy Wire look pretty good. 220 isn't so far from 235, IMO. .
  12. Slow three and outs aren't much better. It might be time to let the offense try to score in any way possible. An increase in first downs should probably be the issue. .
  13. I'll second that. Tough loss. And they aren't going to the Sun Bowl, after all ? I woulda' made time to see that one. .
  14. Eating ? School ? Insurance ? Tickets ? C'mon, man up and rob a liquor store. .
  15. Load up to stop the run and they just might pass... whatcha' gonna do.
  16. About 15-25, 135 yds. 1TD, 1 int.
  17. Cut a- away from the Jets.
  18. I have been following this for a while... "Walsh's previous job's as a bed and breakfast operator and mayor of Swan Valley, Idaho , made him the butt of jokes during the team's struggles. But Shell stood by Walsh despite all the criticisms, including those from players..." Shoop is Back So who takes over but John Shoop who Jauron stood by until the bitter end in Chicago. Good voodoo in seeing our coach's man rise once again. .
  19. The Bob Dylan defense. Now I get it. .
  20. Perhaps the coincidence is that the O-Line is better because the Bills are playing better. Wins cover a multitude of sins. They still aren't running the ball with any consistency, making a lot of first downs, or winning the time of possession battles. This is a very well managed team that has found a way to win games by protecting its offensive line with gameplanning, protecting the ball (and, yes, protecting its quarterback). The coaching staff is making this team a "tough out" and this weekend should be no different. If the O-Line progresses just a tiny bit more, helping out the defense, anything is possible in December. .
  21. The dark side of the Banana Splits empire ? Cieslak wasn't even born in '74, don't traumatize the poor boy with the damned jumbotron. .
  22. Sure was, but those Willis touchdowns were pretty special. Very nice to see (except the part where he crazy dives into the endzone rib first with the ball under him). .
  23. Did they really throw 10 or so screens, hitches and the like ? Blackout has me combing the CNN play-by-play for some explanation for the surprising line performance. .
  24. Not really a stat but a number. Rumour has it they threw 10 screen passes including 4 flanker and 2 tight enders. Me likey. No wonder the O-line seems improved. .
  25. Interesting line. America's team against the Las Vegas home side should cancel out (in the brick and mortar world). The USC love should scare you, but good luck anyways. .
