What they do with this guy will say a lot about the new regime. I personally wouldn't mind seeing Marrone go as well, but I do see the argument for keeping him. Hackett is another story. He has been out matched by his NFL counterparts from day one and it is obvious. He has made no progress in 2 years. Pathetic! I am excited every year but if Hackett is back, it is going to put a serious damper on the off - season. So get rid off his ass and Whaley, stop being cheap with the offensive line you ahole. Chris Williams signing was so bad.
-
Let me reaffirm this one more time. There is 0% chance that Sean Payton comes to Buffalo to be an offensive coordinator behind Marrone. There is 0% chance that Payton goes anywhere to be anything other than a Head Coach or something higher. It is not happening, there is no chance. Just forget about it right now. We should lock this thread right now because the notion is so ridiculous. Aaron Rodgers will demand a trade to Buffalo before this happens.

Sam Wyche was never a Super Bowl winner and he worked for Mularkey after being out of the league for quite a while. Sean Payton will never take a job lower than Head Coach in the NFL again. He is a Super Bowl winner and regarded by most of the NFL as one of the best offensive minds. No chance in hell he comes to Buffalo to be Marrone's offensive coordinator.

Probably a really bad time to turn in your Bills fan card.

Manzeil just got knocked out of game
Proteus replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is good, Browns have a much better chance of beating the Ravens next week with Hoyer in there. -
Just offer the Saints our 2nd this year and our 1st's in 2016 and 2017 for Brees and Graham. Sign the best lineman you can in free agency and keep the defense together. They say they would never trade Brees, but if they seriously look at their roster and their cap situation, they should definitely consider it. If you give them a great offer for a 36 year old Brees I think they have to consider it. You mortgage the future a lot but for the next two years you are clear Super Bowl contenders, probably favorites.

The Possibly Intriguing QB Trade Market
Proteus replied to Bills Fan since '64's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I am Doug Whaley.... I sign two great offensive lineman in free agency. If I can do a duel trade for both Cutler and Martellus Bennett, I think I am willing to give our 2nd this year and our 3rd next year, maybe a bit more. Assuming your defense remains the same, except maybe for Spikes leaving and Brown moving to the middle, and with Kiko added? I think after a full season under Schwartz the Bills defense next year could be dominate the whole season like they are now. I don't think a lot of people realize it right now because we have not been to the playoffs in so long, but this team could win the Super Bowl in 2015. If they find a very good QB, or get a just a good QB in a good situation with the right offensive coordinator, I think they might be a favorite. This might be the best defense in Bills history. Honestly the only one in my lifetime including the early 90's that compares is the 99' homerun throwback team. With this defense right now we have a 2-3 window. We might be a rare team who can win it all without a great QB. If Whaley and Pegula realize this window and are willing to spend in free agency we could very easily go from a below average to great offensive line. Roll out with our defense next year being arguably the best in the NFL. Pay to have one of the best lines in the league. You have Watkins and Woods on the outside and Hogan in the middle as the possession receiver. Pay for the best offensive coordinator you can possibly find. I am comfortable with Jackson/Brown/Dixon. If Spiller is here that is even better. Then we are extremely solid at every position except QB and TE. Maybe if you put Cutler in the right situation with a good OC, very nice weapons (which he obviously already has), a great offensive line, and most importantly an elite defense that will allow Cutler and the Bills to have a more balanced offense where Cutler isn't always trying to play catch up, he could be successful. We have a window right now and the whole inside many of us that can only be filled by a Super Bowl win can be closed in the next 3 years if we find a capable QB. I would prefer to pay through the nose for Matt Ryan but if Cutler is there for a reasonable price, like a 3rd this year and a 5th next year, I would take a shot. Obviously I would love the previously stated Cutler/Bennett deal. We have not be to the playoffs in 14 seasons but I believe that not only a playoff window, but a Super Bowl window is opening now. We have to do whatever it takes to find a QB. -
Bozanna's and their heart attack pizza was great. About 6 inches of pepperoni on top of the cheese lol. But the best pizza in Buffalo is Leonardi's and always will be. Sorry Bacci's, La Nova, Imperial and others.

What about Donnie Henderson?

We have the best defensive line in football and rush the passer better than anybody else. When you do something better than everyone else in the league, you have to keep that together. If we don't resign Hughes, we must at least tag him and trade him for a first.

Schlereth predicts Bills will lose 100-0 on NFL Live
Proteus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope that fires them up. Former Bronco showing a lot of disrespect to the Bills. It does show though that the Bills are definitely not getting respect on a national stage. If we beat Denver, that is gonna change. Go get em boys! -

Fred Jackson: "Whitner Dumb and an Idiot"
Proteus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How can anyone talk down about a guy who had his name legally changed (or almost legally) to Hitner from Whitner. I think doing something like that shows how cool and self-aware someone is. It doesn't make him look like a freaking tool at all. -
I was 9-12 years old for the Super Bowl losses and cried my eyes out after every one. I suffered like many of you for these last 15 years, feeling like our team is meaningless and the joke of the NFL. Over the years I have slowly evolved from a Bills optimist into a Bills pessimist. Right now I think it is highly doubtful we make the playoffs, but if we can beat the Browns I am willing to believe. Just beat the Browns at home. A team you should have beaten last year but ended up losing to. Just like you should have beaten the Chiefs the last two times but ended up losing. Just beat the Browns at home. That is all I ask. Please God beat the Browns so I have a meaningful game in December! This is a game we should win. Just win it. Don't do anything stupid like untimely fumbles or secondary miscommunications. Just go out and beat a team that you are better than, and battling for a playoff spot, at home. It is time to stop blowing these ones. Just win this freaking game.

Dareus has 7 sacks in 7 games from the DT position. He is 2nd in the league in sacks only to Von Miller. It doesn't really get more dominating that that. No offense but there would be a huge drop off from Dareus to Charles.
-
I have no problem giving Dareus that money as long as there character clauses involved. He is the best DT in football right now, arguably.
-
I was thinking of betting on the Bills as well

Orton hate is coming from the guys that were previously propping up EJ. They just want to be right more than anything.

Hackett is bad, like very bad
Proteus replied to Clippers of Nfl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So you think Hackett is a good coordinator then? The guy !@#$ing blows and the original poster is right, he is going to cost us games. Offensive play-caller is the most important game day position that is not on the field and Hackett sucks. -
UB Fires Head Football Coach Jeff Quinn
Proteus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
UB is already a very good school academically and great in some areas like medicine. Trying to increase their status as a sports school can only help to serve UB well in the future. -
We will finally see Robert Woods....
Proteus replied to DougTheBug's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I picked up Woods in every fantasy league I could. He could be a star with a capable QB. -
Doug Whaley On The Drafting Of EJ Manuel
Proteus replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Whaley but the Watkins trade, how he handled the QB situation in the off - season and thinking Chris Williams was adequate enough for the offensive line in free agency are things that when accumulated, could definitely get him fired. That said, if the Bills get into the playoffs, all is forgiven. -
The dude makes millions of dollars and has his whole life ahead of him. I don't feel bad for him at all. Unless he !@#$s it up, his is almost guaranteed to have a life that only most of us can dream about.
