I wonder if he'll get this garbage team to 6-10 and proclaim a miracle.
He's basically like homeless person's Bill Parcells. He'll come in, ruffle some feathers, gain a couple moe wins, proclaim victory, and suddenly leave.
Wonder if the jags purposely put the AHC title in there so he wouldn't be able to bolt. Now, in effect, the Jags will be able to gain compensation for or totally block any lateral move. It's actually like a leash and collar around his neck.
We really don't know what was going on in the inside. For all we know, he hated and clashed with Marrone too. Either way, Marrone screwed him over. Business is business though.
I'm pulling for Hackett to get Jax job. It's the assistant coaches who were really shafted by DM. Who knows, maybe he is a decent OC.
Plus, you're never going to get a job if you don't interview for one. Dark horses or underdogs get hired all the time in the NFL. Crazy things happen. Him pulling out just shows how much of a loser he is.
This may be a good sign:

Well, at least we know we have a chance. Time to open the pocketbook Terry.
Why would we care about turnover ratio, they had Geno Smith and I'm pretty sure Rex isn't bringing him along. It's not accurate to judge a team's defense based on turnover ratio.
Aren't coaches salaries guaranteed unless they themselves quit (except for the unmentionable one)? I highly doubt someone would walk away from that much money (unless compromising photographs were involved).
