I have a weird feeling that if these two teams do meet in the Super Bowl it will be the team that losses the regular season game that wins the Super Bowl.
Unless home field for the playoffs is on the line, I really don’t see it necessary to show them anything but a vanilla game plan. -
I don’t know why anyone’s view of McD would have changed. No one ever doubted he was a great coach who can win games. It’s what happens in January and February that is the issue. I guess we’ll see.

Normal football play, except for Tua. He would’ve been down.

Dirty hit by a dirty player. He saw him going down and purposely lowered by angle and put his forearm out. Could’ve jumped over him. Guy should get at least 6 games. Probably more. Can’t see why the NFLPA would argue against player safety.

I’ve watched this a few times now. It’s not really clear this was actually a TD. Wish there were better angles.

Kind of feel bad for them right now. They weren’t even trying. What’s the point?

Why didn't codrington fair catch that? Would have probably been line the 8 yard line
I would rather have it at the 2 instead of the ball possibly slipping through his hands at the 8.-

Never knew he was that fast.

The Chiefs remind of the Bills last year. Many games were won by good luck. Didn’t end well in the playoffs when luck can’t be cashed in.

Came across this and noticed it had a lot of Allen/Bills content. Really great article breaking down QB performance vs coverage type.
https://ftnfantasy.com/nfl/qbs-vs-man-and-zone-coverage
Calls out how teams play a lot of man vs us because we shred zone. Also that we have a very high rate of open WR’s vs zone. Also touched on the concept that the better man QB’s might be that way more a a result of better WR’s. Which makes a ton of sense and why that number one or high end WR is still a big deal. FYI the Lions play the most man in the NFL.
I can’t believe I just read this entire article and basically nothing on Mahomes. Remarkable. And I also saw more of the Allen isn’t accurate crap. -

Back on topic.... Purdy described as limited on the injury report yesterday. Local 9ers reporters saying was in reality "extremely limited" and threw only one pass. I don't think he is going to play.
Assuming this isn’t outright smokescreen, which is possible, it doesn’t make much sense to play him then. A road game against a non-conference opponent who they still won’t likely beat. Now with poor weather possible. It’s a long season.-

Getting back to the notion of the original thread -- and tracking Purdy's shoulder injury...
The last I heard was that Purdy did some light tossing and workout yesterday, he is resting today, and they want to see how he feels tomorrow. My guess is that he will officially show up on the injury report all week as Questionable regardless of his true status. That said, it will be worth watching to see if he practices tomorrow -- and what he does on Thursday and Friday to see what direction he trends.
The 49ers have been notoriously dishonest with the injury designations -- they outright lied about McC's status early on, and were misleading regarding the nature of Aiyuk's injury as well. So we are unlikely to get much in the way of "official" intel on Purdy. As I said, I suspect he will be designated all week as "Questionable" and his activity will be listed as "Limited".
Now we know where McDaniel gets its from. -
Drake is 38. Not the same as he was. Too old.

It’s not popular and I wouldn’t like to see it, but let Benford walk. Corners demand way too much money and McD’s defense has had success plugging anyone (but Elam) in.

Wild take but I’d like them to do better at acquiring a backup QB with actual talent in spot fill.
Now I know this will irk some but Josh is still a mad man at actively heading towards contact and there’s a litany of events where players don’t take it easy on bringing him down like they do Mahomes, Lamar or some of the other QBs out there.
The minute Josh goes down we are screwed. Need someone of even a little quality.
Pass rusher and Safety is again probably the only other needs.
I’m not against a QB in the 3rd round - a complete luxury pick. It’s much too early for us to start grooming the next QB, but I doubt we’d win many games with what’s behind Josh right now. We’ve been blessed by his durability considering how he plays. I don’t think his style of play will be sustainable once he’s on the other side of 30.-

Draft a DB. I don’t like giving out $20-30M contracts to corners in this defense. Rasul is going to cost some and Benford is going to get at least $23M but probably more.

Go Chargers. We don’t want the Bengals in the playoffs.

I wasn’t sure at the time, but no it’s not.
The 2nd and 3rd angle are clear. No catch.
Should Bills Draft a Back-up QB? Who?

So, if Allen goes down 4-6 weeks, that’s it? Give up the season? He’s been very durable, but once he passes 30 and continues to run like a fullback, things could get ugly. What else is on your long list to worry about. Maybe another DLmen or DB? The list isn’t that long. We’re in “luxury pick” territory.
