Yeah, because driving to the grocery market and getting tackled by 300 lbs of muscle running full speed weekly are really the same thing. But, who knows. Maybe if I’ve had 6 concussions while driving a car, I probably would wear a helmet next time. And if my nuts had multiple near misses with a chainsaw, I think I’d use much more protection than chaps. Did you really think about your response before posting? As for disliking him? I don’t dislike him, nor do I like him. I’ve never met the guy and can only have an opinion on his actions. And not trying to decrease the likelihood of another concussion seems foolish. I don’t think anyone on here dislikes him. His body, his choice. But rather, people have a limit to their sympathy. So, when he’s carried out on a stretcher next (not if, but when), I just don’t think a lot of people are going to look at the event as a shocking injustice.

Out of curiosity, what exactly lead you to “like” Tua? I’m mean, compared to Tyrek, he’s probably a standup guy. But he was asked point blank whether he would wear a Guardian cap and he said “no”. What are the redeeming qualities you see in this guy?

I just feel accountants are running the NFL now and not football people. I don’t watch every Bills game anymore. Ironically, the network exclusive games introduced me to this practice. I used to religiously when I was young, but there’s just too much other quality things to do than to watch this product. It’s actually been liberating.

This is a very weird thread. No sure why it’s still going. I couldn’t care less what a neuroscientist says about concussions. They are not clinicians, nor have had any contact with patients in a clinical setting. If a neurologist or a neurosurgeon pipes up, then they’ll have my attention. But this guy, just because he may have looked at some brain sections under a microscope to get grants, doesn’t pass muster as an expert. btw, I’m a physician and would trust the word of an ICU nurse over a neuroscientist.

I’m not a Bass apologist, but the Jets kicker wasn’t any better last night. 2 FG balls hitting the posts in a row, versus Bass’s 1 missed FG and 1 missed XP. I think it was very windy. Agreed. Firing coach and trading for a top WR aren’t congruent. Either way, I see no path forward for Rodgers after this season. They’ll probably have to shed salary for Adams.

I’m pretty sure they are going all in this season and they’ll clean house, including Rodgers, at the end of the season. Experiment failed.

I personally think Beane set him up this year to fail (“transition” year) to make a case for Terry. Instead, McD is falling on his own sword. Make way for Hoodie or Ben Johnson.
