Maybe now the story will be told on Gurley...

At his age, it’s unusual to get a isolated monoarthritis only in his knee. The most likely scenario is that he has a post-traumatic arthritis, which is much more common and is likely restricted to 1 joint. That said, he may have arthritis in other joints that are not being disclosed. Either way, the treatment for these conditions is very different. Post-traumatic arthritis is not treated with Humira as it usually self-resolves or resolved via corticosteroid injections into the knee capsule. The steroid used in inflammatory conditions are not the same as anabolic steroids. They are permitted for use. -

Report: Bengals looking to trade WR John Ross

As I discussed above, I didn’t cherry pick. I selected the last 2 4th/5ths selected by the current regime. The Bills did not have a 4th in 2017, so I picked the 5th rounder. While the same size is very small, why should I list draft picks that weren’t selected by the current Bills FO? -

I don’t think going back 8 years is appropriate. Different people are selecting the players now, not Whaley, who was notorious for whiffing on draft picks. That’s why I only looked at the last 2 drafts. I’m not saying our 4th rounders from here out will be stars, but the last 2 drafts contain some very promising young players. Ross has already proven he hasn’t lived up to his potential. I wouldn’t give them anything higher than a 6th. -

I think this trading away our 4th for basically a bust is a bad idea. A 4th is a very valuable asset. For example, we picked up Taron Johnson in the 4th and even Milano in the 5th (we had no 4th 2 years ago). Would you trade either of them (or even a player as promising as them) for a player who has never played up to his potential? I’ll roll my dice in the draft. -

Don’t forget Anquan Boldin. -
Is Anquan Boldin still available or is he busy fighting for social justice?

Bills sign C Spencer Long to 3 year deal
Saint Doug replied to One Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All of that rings true to the end of the season. Long has continued to play well, though he was slowed down by a concussion at the close of the season. He has earned the right to be the team’s starting center moving forward, and definitely should be a solid player moving forward. Long’s Season Grade: B Improved cousins accuracy, you say? Well, there you have it, folks. Bills FO admitting Allen has accuracy issues and are bringing Long in to help fix them. Proof. Cancel your SB parties. Doomed. -

Yep. I prefer to wait around and see what untouched leftover is available for the picking. -
WR Duke Williams of CFL’s Eskimos Signs with Bills

I put him somewhere between Da’Rick and Martin Nance. -
The problem is NFL coaches have such huge egos and are incestuous. They’ll only hire “their” guys from some past connection. The norm is that good coaches are passed over for loyalty or whatever. Elway isn’t doing these guys any favor because they’ll undoubtedly end up on the street after a HC is hired, unless he’s going to dictate who his HC hires. Then they’ll be less openings for them.

He probably asked them. It’s strange they even asked for permission. That like a potential employer calling our current employer asking if we could interview. It’s none of their business considering they aren’t even a professional league.

Look, he has a Carolina connection. I bet McBeane bings him in for an interview.

Bills fire OL Coach Juan Castillo
Saint Doug replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Castillo should have kept his mouth shut. That interview was bordering on unprofessional. The very first line about him coming here to retire and the firing coming as a surprise was extremely telling. He basically came to slide on through into retirement knowing McD wouldn't dare fire him. And I don't really care about how many individual players he has developed in the past. That's not the OL coaches job. Last I checked, there are 5 guys playing the OL and each of them need to act as one unit. They are supposed to communicate and compensate for each other's weaknesses. A great coach helps this out in a big way by adjusting his scheme to his players abilities to make the unit larger than the sum of its parts. Castillo did none of that and this is why he's now spouting sour grapes.
