  1. It sounds like there's a crowd of QBs that could be drafted in the 1st round. If we end up in the top 10, I wouldn't be shocked if we didn't end up trading our other 1st, 2nd, and 3rd to move up.
  2. By the look of those players, TT may not have been allowed to play in that era.
  3. By most measures, he has won and won big. Many of us are trying to desperately carve out careers for much, much less. He should feel blessed everyday knowing he has held a job for so long and had been extremely successful at it.
  4. The passing offense was offensive, but I still don't think Sammy would've fixed it. We had wide open receivers last year and TT couldn't get them the ball. In this case, and many others, an elite WR isn't going to win you a championship, but an elite QB will.
  5. After a couple days to digest this, here are my thoughts. The Bills offense will be no worse than they were last year because Watkins wasn't even on the field last year and they did pretty good. Our defense was the reason we didn't make the playoffs, not Sammy's absence. That said, if we kept Sammy, I think it would've been worth the difference between a 2nd and a 3rd comp pick (if we don't sign him). It would've been worth it to see if he could turn it around. My guess is they had no intention, for good or bad, of resigning him next season. Declining the 5th year option supports this. So, I suppose it was best to get what you could, a 2nd rounder. This trade had nothing to do with EJ Gaines. He was a toss in.
  6. How exactly is such an incredibly detailed injury history, for any player, useless information? And what exactly would they have "updated" since January? Is there another injury we don't know about?
  7. I don't know if this has been posted before, but an interesting website: http://sportsinjurypredictor.com/player/sammy-watkins/6937
  8. I didn't know Whaley took over their Director of Recruiting.
  9. Why do you think we would want a QB that is a threat to run? I'm pretty sure this new regime is done with "athletic" QBs. I love TT, but as soon as he shows he can't hit open receivers from the pocket, we'll be moving on from running QBs. Look no further than us signing Yates, drafting Peterman, and trading Cardale. Correct. We're finally done experimenting with running QBs.
  10. I can't decide what more insane: that Bell was offered that much money or that Bell turned down that much money.
  11. Correct. Brees showed promise before he signed with NO, but the Chargers didn't really think he'd be that good (neither did many teams I guess). He was coming off a decent season and finally seemed to turn the corner after years of mediocrity. But, he had an injury history and SD was hell-bent on anointing Rivers their franchise QB. They should've dumped Rivers for a kings ransom, but hindsight is 20/20. I think many teams will remember the Brees story. Barring injury, I won't be surprised if he becomes the highest paid QB next year.
  12. I didn't know we would be held to the same deadline as Washington if we traded for him. I'd only want to do it if we knew he would be signing a long-term contract with us. Otherwise, it wouldn't be worth it considering we would only have a couple months of an exclusive signing period. Maybe I'd do that for a 4th rounder.
  13. Who here would flip our (not KC's) 1st rounder next year for Cousins? I think Cousins is in the driver seat in regards to facilitating a trade if he really has no intention of re-signing with Washington. We're likely going to package our picks to move up and draft a big unknown. Cousins, while not elite, is a known commodity. Why give up anything for a guy will be a FA? To avoid the inevitable bidding war.
  14. You're odd that you can't detect when someone is being facetious. Who's autistic now?
  15. Yep. I also see it as bad PR for the team and the NFL if he dies on the field and the team was aware that he had a condition, waiver or not.
  16. There's something fishy with this case. He received an initial medical opinion that he should retire, so he did. What has changed? Did his missing vertebral body grow back? If he received a 2nd opinion, why didn't he get one before filing the retirement papers? It seems like he may have finally received an opinion (3rd? 4th?) he wanted to hear. His words: "Now that I've gotten a taste of the game being taken away from me, I'm even more hungry to play," Orr said Wednesday on NFL Network's Good Morning Football. There's no way this guy passes a team physical. I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole (but if I did, I'd do it gently).
  17. I don't see this as bad news. This is great news. Bad news would've been him experiencing a sudden cardiac death on the field.
  18. I think they are really odd too. I can understand commercials for ED treatments or perhaps depression, because most patients know what these condition are but may be reluctant to even bring this up to their physician and end up feeingl helpless. But, then there's some really esoteric conditions like "atrial fibrillation not due to an artificial heart valve". Really, what kind of patient out there would (1) even know they have atrial fib or (2) have a strong opinion about what med they are on? Or conditions that are not very common like rheumatoid arthritis?
  19. This is likely anperirectal abscess from a developing fistula. This isn't good.
  20. So basically, the Bills offered him what they believed his market value was based on his age and recent production. I applaud this approach. Not too long ago, Whaley would've opened the vault for him, just like most fans were asking them to do.
  21. So, it seems that if you are actually cut by the Bills, you really aren't going to amount to much because 90% of the names being thrown around on here weren't cut, but left in free agency. We should keep this in mind come late summer.
