  1. It’s been almost an hour and no one has jumped on the egregious use of the word “affect”?
  2. Not happening anytime soon, but there may come a time when a team has to forcibly interview a female candidate for an open position.
  3. I do give him credit for sustaining their prior success. This is a situation where a coach was hired that didn’t automatically rip everything down to it “his way” with “his guys”.
  4. I doubt there will be a 2nd contract given to neither Greedy nor White by the Bills. CB is one of the few positions where a player can step in an play like an All-Pro by the end of the mid-season of their rookie year. Given CB is one of the highest paid positions in the NFL, it makes more sense to just draft a replacement.
  5. This is actually a tough decision. We know who the starter is for next year and the year after. Do we know who the backup QB will be? This season has taught us that a backup vet at QB is extremely important for Allen. Are we going to give Barkley a long-term contract after beating the worse team in the NFL? Or, are we going to pass, say it was a fluke, and go dumpster diving mid-season again in 2019?
  6. Maybe Anderson just wants to go home to his family? He’s basically living at the Stadium and for what? I get thousands of dollars, but I’m sure he’s well taken care of at this point and want to walk away from this nightmare.
  7. Agreed. At this point, I think it’s more important in seeing what Barkley has over what Allen has. No one doubts Allen is the QB of the future. What we don’t know if who the backup QB will be. We’ve all seen firsthand how important this position is this season. It’s been a complete ***** show and has basically ruined our season. We don’t need another repeat next season.
  8. Agreed. Use a 1st or a 2nd. We need a Gurley type that can singlehandedly take over games. It’s not a coincidence that Goff and Gurley are both having excellent seasons. Spend the other 2 picks on OL and WR. Remember Kareem Abdul Jabbar they played for the fins? https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/A/AbduKa00.htm
  9. A real man would’ve just picked it up barehanded.
  10. Defense doesn’t win championships, cap space does.
  11. I would add Bill Cowher to this list. He had to deal with some really horrible QBs; Slash Stewart, Tommy Maddox, and some other forgetful souls, but they still fielded a decent playoff-caliber team. Getting Big Ben put them over the hump.
  12. The best thing to improve our defense is to not have them playing most of the game. You do that by keeping the offense on the field. We need to do whatever we can to keep the chains moving. Any electric RB who can catch coming out? Otherwise, trade down, and draft 2 OL in first round, then WRs in 2’d round.
  13. Funny. It must be early or I’m getting old, but when I click on a thread and start reading a few posts, I’ve totally forgot what thread I clicked.
  14. Well, they had 2 games of film, so basically they didn’t have any film on him.
  15. I can’t blame the FO for what has transpired. It was fairly clear in preseason that it Peterson won the job. And Allen was also playing very well for a rookie. McCarron was the worse QB on the roster. What the FO didn’t know, and what was their job to know, was that Peterman would completely destruct during the season. Allen is playing pretty much as expected. As for signing Anderson, looks like they had little other choice.
  16. Former Panther. I’d take a shot at him.
  17. I have each side has to relealize what they are getting and what the other team is giving up. Shady is a team Captain who is helping Allen get acclimated. He’s not just an aging RB. The Eagles should appreciate this team dynamic, irrespective to what they hope to receive from Shady. As as for any signal that the Bills “gave up” on the season, the players should realize that a team is not an individual. We have other decent RBs. That said, to help ease any perceived pain, they should send us a player back that we need. It will then be seen as addressing a need, rather than jettisoning our best RB.
  18. For some odd reason, and it seems unthinkable now, but I think our OL made RBs look a lot better than they actually were back then. Our running game was unstoppable those years.
  19. Reading between the lines, maybe Dilfer wants a job as a QB coach for Allen? I wouldn’t be against it considering we don’t have one.
  20. I agree, but I also think this NFL is a different industry and really doesn’t reflect the real world. NFL owners commonly terminate player contracts well before they are over. So, a player should be able to do the same. That said, I won’t defend Vontae Davis. I don’t think a team has never cut a player during half-time. No player should ever quit during a game. That Davis did this makes me question Beane/McD’s ability to judge character. And Davis wasn’t the first player who got up and quit on them.
  21. No, other teams caught on what they were trying to do. So, changed it to trust. Next, they may change process to “the orderly and deliberate way of accomplishing our task”
  22. This is just a fake leak. Trust the process.
