I see no problem if they chose to bench him. No starter should feel comfortable enough to underperform. If a coach thinks they are cutting it, then they take some time off to think about it. That said, I still wonder if this is tied to Spain’s cryptic tweet.

This is the problem with our division. There have been constant tire fires, but not a single one will trade with us due to us being in the division.

With the expanded PSs this year, I’m finding it difficult to understand why Beane can’t find some big, fat space eater stashed somewhere In the league. I may be wrong, but it sounds skill takes a back seat to size here. Plus, the guy would be youngish and hold more promise. Maybe Beane isn’t looking? I do think we need an upgrade in the LB coaching ranks. Something isn’t quite right there. Edmunds shouldn’t be making the same mistakes week in and week out.

Knowing this cycle very well, Miami is merely trying to preempt the move from “play very well” to the “get paid” part, ultimately avoiding the “suck” part of the cycle. This is a great use of Miami’s analytics department.

This isn’t hard to figure out. Opponent defenses and STs can score points. I don’t know how often this has occurred though.

That’s the definition of a bust. If they were drafted in the 5th/6th round, which is how they are playing, people wouldn’t be up in arms and calling them busts. There’s no such thing as a 5th round bust, just 1st and maybe 2nd round busts. And Edmunds and Oliver fit the bill.
