Correct. I don’t believe they are doing team physicals right now. That said, that doesn’t mean a physician isn’t sitting in his home library extensively reviewing medical records and radiography and possibly even calling surgeons for details. You always want to exam a patient, but it’s only part of the equation of a physical. We are adapting to telemedicine.

I’m going to steal some word out of Karlos Williams’s vocab and suggest that Jalen can eat a dick. He should also mind his own f’ing business. Besides that, once players on the Pats gain national recognition, they are usually cut or traded.

I see nothing wrong with what he said. Obviously he said what anyone else on here would say, but do agree he should’ve placed more of a filter on that. They can all interview by Skype/WebEx, but players are going to a full tour of the facilities and area and get a feel for the organization. They only see a limited amount during travel games.

You can send them to the minors, but you only get very limited cap relief, while paying them their full NHL salary.

Hockey is much different. Contracts are fully guaranteed and teams cannot cut players (without their expressed consent) to get cap relief. The only way to get cap relief is through a trade or contract termination (which is relatively rare).

Absolutely not. Every great QB plays for about 2 years past their true retirement age. During this time, they become a huge liability for their team. For what we’ve been through for the last 2 decades, we deserve every minute of that glorious downfall. I don’t want him out of the AFC East.

I don’t think GMs should be allowed to be poached this time of year. It’s near the end of their season and they’ll be preparing for playoffs (ie the draft) very soon. I think the way we did it was the best. Got McD, but allowed Beane to finish his job in Carolina, then he get hired afterwards. If I were Beane, I would deny all interviews requested for non-HC jobs until after the draft.
