No. Vet minimum for him would be $1.05M. He’s has had 3 years of declining production. No team has traded for him and the Eagles only want a 7th rounder. Why? Because no GM is willing to pay him $8M per season. My guess is he gets a 1 year deal of $2-3M. It’s going to a lot closer to vet minimum than $8M. It’s a year salary cap is artificially depressed. His FA will occur in 2022, that’s when he’ll cash in. In the meantime, he’ll need to do whatever it takes to maximize his production beforehand, even accepting a pittance of a 1 year salary.

He’s probably going to be cut post June 1st. My guess is Beane will get him to sign a 1 year deal a little north of vet minimum. Because this is what Beane is best at. It’s a prove me deal on a playoff team with one of the best QBs in the NFL throwing to you. Plus, competition is minimal. Gives more time for Knox to develop. There’s few other decent situations for Ertz to enter. It’s either the team is set at TE, they are a bottom feeder, or they have no cap room. If a team really needed him, they would’ve traded for him. It sounds like the asking price is low.

I specifically listed players that were FA signings from 2018 onwards. Morgan was hired in 2018. Care to point out which names were hired before him? You said “many”, so I expect to see a bunch of names. And while you’re at it, can explain how he has done a better job than the average Director of PP. Given the number of FA signings per year, seems like the Bills were flinging crap at the side of a barn and seeing what stuck. Now, I certainly don’t know what his role was in signing each of these players, or whether his mandate was to sign as many as possible, but he was the Director.

Josh Norman, Tyler Kroft, Matakevich, Barkley, Addison, Trent Murphy, Jefferson, Deshawn Philips, Nskekhe, Frank Gore, Jake Fisher, EJ Gaines, Eli Harold, Spencer Long, Seniorise Perry, Maurice Alexander, Quinton Spain, LaAddrian Waddle, Yeldon, Lee Smith, Derek Anderson, Chris Ivory, Julian Stanford, Bodine, Vontae Davis, Marshall Newhouse, Jeremy Kerley, Terrelle Pryor, Vernon Butler, Taiwan Jones, and AJ Klein have all been underwhelming. Mitch Morse was never supposed to be this lacking. This guy was supposed to be elite. True, Brown and Philips were good signings, but not good enough to be still on our team. That leaves us with Andre Roberts (good signing, but nothing to get excited over), Daryl Williams (hardly much knowledge had to be gathered for this signing as he came from a former team), Star is OK (but the Carolina background just signifies coaches signing familiar players), Feliciano (good signing!), Cole Beasley (love the signing), and Diggs (elite singing!, but trading away a 1st meant Beane was likely in the drivers seat with this one). The Bills seem to sign, not a handful, but usually a crowd of FAs. The vast majority do not contribute much and a few are great. So, do you have any data that Morgan was responsible for signing great/good professional players at a better rate than the average Director of PP?

In his drafts, Beane has clearly displayed he drafts for need with his 1st rounders or 1st picks. 2018, QB and MLB. 2019, Ed Oliver, DT. 2020, 2nd round, Epenesa, DE. 2021, DE. I do agree that he may pick BPA in later rounds, but it’s usually need for the first pick. Of course, in the beginning, we had many needs. But, his picks of DE in the last 2 drafts are very telling.

He can go. Our director of PP hasn’t really been all special. Pros joining our team haven’t had huge impacts. The exception to this would be Diggs, but I doubt Morgan played the major role in this trade. If he had anything to do with it, I will grant him the Cole Beasley addition. Otherwise, our pro additions have had limited impact.

Simple reason. These guys will be playing guard, and likely excelling at it, before they even sniff playing tackle.

But, can he play TE? ...maybe.

Doesn’t every team look to draft a playmaker? Outside of long snapper and maybe the o-line, isn’t everyone a playmaker?

I get that the league shares revenue and the more money the Bills pull in, so do the other owners. I just don’t quite grasp how a new stadium is going to bring more money in. More expensive boxes? More restaurants/bars within? Short of bringing more bodies through the turnstiles, how is a shiny stadium going to extract more money out of the same number of people. If they want to raise prices, I get it. But, with Josh Allen chucking the ball, they can do this right now without all the fuss.

Why exactly is the NFL demanding a “new” stadium? I don’t understand the economics begins building a new stadium versus the existing one. It’s not that a new stadium will fit more butts in the seats.

A nonprofit entity doesn’t mean they have no money or don’t make money. It just means they don’t have a profit to declare at the end of the fiscal year. Many nonprofits get to this point by paying out hefty bonuses or dumping any earnings into the growing the company. Nevertheless, nonprofits usually have money for advertising purposes.

The time element makes sense for a GM. They want the fruits of their labor working to help them keep their job. The truth is, not many GMs are in a situation where they can be patient to have success. It needs to be fairly immediate, and often, or they’ll be sent packing. From a fan’s perspective, a 1st round player is still going to be a 1st round player.

He’s spending more energy stabilizing his body that pushing upwards, which is likely the easiest part of the exercise. Your body does unstable things while trying to stabilize. I’m sure his agent called him after this post.

No doubt that while going down there’s instability, especially while going down, which takes energy on Henry’s part to counteract. But he’s getting assistance going upwards. You can see the band contracting during his upstroke. That’s giving him assistance. This is high school physics. In fact, I bet he’s expending more energy down down than up, despite the show chains.

I would be more impressed if he wasn’t using the elastic band. Looks like it is providing some amount of energy to his upwards motion.

Every round produces stars. It doesn’t matter position. We can cherry pick great players from all rounds. It comes down to a team’s valuation of the player, not the round they are selected. If the Bills see a 1st round RB who they think will significantly contribute to our offense this coming season, then pull the trigger.

We seem to be forgetting that JA has a few games per season where he just can’t do it himself. These aren’t shootouts, but Josh just being off or the opposing team having his number that day. It’s these days we need a dominating run game. Otherwise, I don’t really want a RB taking throws away from Josh. That said, we do need a RB that he can target out of the backfield.

My guess is the Bills will try their best to move up. They’re in a win now mode, they can’t mortgage their future a little bit.

I know this has been posted ad nauseam for YEARS. But, from a fan perspective, it still doesn’t make much sense at all. Maybe to GMs, who have leashes of various lengths (that is, their job security influence their picks). But, fast forward to 2022, the Fins are certainly not going to look at their extra 1st rounder as a 2nd rounder come draft day.
