Jim Harbaugh is going back to Michigan.

There’s a right way to do this. Have paperwork documented listing all the pros and cons of each candidate and thoughts of the people he met with. Based your decision based on these documents. And, for the love of God, don’t decided on the position until after all candidates have interviewed. One thing I don’t doubt Flores about. There are definitely teams who have already made a decision and are looking to check the box. -
Dorsey ran a lot of 12 personnel packages

Gesicki would be a huge get on offense. Hopefully he doesn’t take a home town discount. He could easily have over 1000 yards with Josh throwing to him. -
Read up about him. This will be our new OC in 2-3 years.

Brian Flores suing NFL, NY Giants, Dolphins, Broncos.

Thread has become too big too fast. Anyone have an answer what the allegations against Ross have to do with systemic racism? Plus, the irony is that he did get hired by the NFL as a HC, but only to throw the guy under bus (probably deservedly). -
Even though they probably deserved it, he just threw 1/16th of NFL owners under the bus. If you were an owner, would you hire him?
-
Agreed. But Flores just dug a hole he’ll unfortunately never recover from. Those allegations are spectacular.

Can he drive off Frazier?

Serious though, does Allen really need anyone other than to have some healthy discussions during the week? -
Brian Daboll hired to be Head Coach of NY Giants
Saint Doug replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
On the other hand, what if you coach him to continuous mediocrity? He certainly doesn’t have the talent of Josh, but I could see him coached up to the level of another Jones we all know. But Daboll is no Hoodie either. He could end up with perpetual 8-9 seasons (the new 8-8). -
Jon Gruden would beg to differ.
-
The big question now is will he still be their HC come next Monday.

Brian Daboll hired to be Head Coach of NY Giants

Highly doubt he loves Dan Jones. I don’t think he hates him either. The truth is the middle ground. He wanted a HC job, so said what the owner wanted to hear. If he said Dan Jones has to go, he would still be a Bill. I’m sure he’s going to take the cautious approach and try to salvage the situation. It’s in his best interest to make Dan Jones a gamer, not some other QB. -
This is how he reacts after getting his first unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

Do you really want a rookie Offensive Coordinator ?
Saint Doug replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe he could be ready as a Quarterback coach, but I wish we could be Fitz into the organization as a coach. He never really had a physical gift, but it was his mind that kept him in the league forever. -
So, moving on from Daboll (it doesn’t make sense to debate his good vs bad now), who’s out there that can be our OC besides Dorsey?

Well, I think Dan Hanzus summed up the season pretty well for me
Saint Doug replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m 100% on board with bolstering the OL. As for people leaving the offense, the 3 key ones I care about the most won’t be: Diggs, Davis, and Knox. With Allen throwing any other ball catchers are interchangeable. -

The blame is being debated ad nauseum on here. Coaches vs the actual defense executing on the field. That’s all besides the point though. It still remains that our offense was playing to perfection that game. We didn’t lose because Allen didn’t have anyone to throw to or a lack of weapons. He was on fire. -

We got into a shootout with Mahomes and we lost. That’s a very dangerous situation to be in as we have seen. So, was our defense “just good enough”? No, it wasn’t. And we we’re supposedly the best defense in the NFL. Still not good enough though and it wasn’t just the final 13 seconds. We need to get better. -

We could’ve added Randy Moss in his prime to our team and we still wouldn’t have beat the Chiefs. We need sound defensive players and probably just at least one elite one. Our #1 defense was basically a facade built by facing back-up level QBs throughout the season. -
Brandon Beane Season Ending Presser Weds 1/27
Saint Doug replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they want to go outside for their CB, it’s best to draft one. This is usually a position where any level of competence breaks the bank to sign one in FA. We likely can’t afford to sign a $15M corner and most of the time, a similarly talented CB can be drafted for much less. In contrast, interior linemen don’t cost an arm and a leg. Would like for them to look in FA to fill this role. Agree on the WR. We have groomed Davis very well. We need to groom another. Someone as fast as hell. -

I think our DL is fine. Rousseau and Boogie will take a step forward next year. If anyone, add someone who excels at stopping the run. Outside of that, we need a blue chip CB besides White. Someone with great tackling technique once Edmonds whiffs. Go DB round 1.
