Chargers - Mike Williams and Joey Bosa hurt in meaningless game
Saint Doug replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember listened to talk radio last week and the hosts were just hammering home one point: for SD to rest important starters. That was their 1 job. -
Potential decision made for Championship Game location
Saint Doug replied to Ra-cha-cha's topic in The Stadium Wall
The selection of the neutral site will likely come down to 2 factors: availability and money. Whatever place is available that has the lowest associated costs to host an NFL will be selected. -
Playoff Solutions Assuming they don’t replay the Bengals game.
Saint Doug replied to Locomark's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think they shouldn’t give anyone home field advantage this year. Just randomly draw where the games will be for all playoff teams. As for wild-card bye week, I don’t think it really matters if the Bills play this game or not. -
They’ll throw him around like a rag doll again. It’s really not the players fault, but I imagine someone is going to get the distinction of ending this guy’s career, perhaps in an ugly way.

But do they? The Dolphins already have shown even this doesn’t cut it. So, I’m not going to rely on them to pick up subtle clues.

Prime Time Josh vs Sunday 1pm Sugar Rush Josh
Saint Doug replied to freddyjj's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh always does much better in Prime Time games. Like clockwork. -
I’m curious. Does this happen with Chief’s fans? Do they nitpick (maybe deservedly) all the negatives of their team and worry incessantly? I’m not sure, maybe other elite teams have no obvious issues.

How in hell did we lose to this team?

Saint Doug replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. He should get the ball. -
What about the 39th Alternatives?

This game is a good argument for flexing all games, including TNF and MNF.

Draft a center and let him cut his teeth playing guard a couple years.

NFL Rules on Heaters For Sidelines?
Saint Doug replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
That box has already been checked, multiple times, but still no substantial changes. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2022/07/12/marion-barbers-death-what-we-know-dangers-heatstroke/10036028002/ -
He had an undiagnosed rib injury. A negative x-ray by no means an absence of a rib fracture. So, you have to go by function. Is a player able to perform in an absence of analgesics? Miller’s ACL wasn’t seen on the most sensitive imaging we have, yet still had an ACL tear. No one was going to inject that knee with toradol, pat him on the butt, and send him back in. Now, if a player has a known injury and it’s determined that playing through discomfort won’t affect the long-term prognosis, then inject away. You don’t do this clinically unclear injuries though.

Well, this is the issue. It should be a big red flag if a player requires a toradol injection for an undiagnosed injury mid-game in order to perform.
