The bad part is that firing McD wouldn’t fix the problems. We have spent the last 5 years drafting players with a very specific skill set and physique. Maybe the national media was right, we are too small. Everyone except Josh. If we fired McD to get a different DC or even fired Babich, we would need to overhaul the players on the D side to fit the new scheme. That may be worse than running it back.

It just never should have gotten to that point. Mahomes had only put up >30 points twice all season. 29 points should have been enough to win this game. Should have Allen been better? Yes. Great teams elevate their play in the playoffs. The Bills did not.

If this first post is TLDR, they’re basically saying they go out-coached.

I’m fine with the loss. Call me a negative Nancy, but I never expected them to make the Super Bowl. As a whole, nothing had really changed player or coaching wise. And our biggest rival, who we are 0-3 against in the playoffs, didn’t change. In fact, unless there are fundamental changes, the same thing will happen next year. Allen will play lights out (as he always does) and our bend, but don’t break defense will break. This defensive philosophy is fine against rookie QBs and the average starting QB, but it doesn’t work against elite offenses. It just leads to a tired defense and then we break. And this is why we saw our offense suddenly become a ground game first offense in the playoffs. To keep the opposing QB off the field.

This is how McD’s defense is formed. These players were specifically drafted for this system and would likely suffer greatly in a different one. They bend, until they break. So, unless McD is going to fundamentally change the defense we run, we won’t be getting any of the big bodied guys people want.

There’s only one coach I would even consider replacing McD: Hoodie. He’s the only coach that can go head to head with Reid.

He can walk. Players who come up big in big games are the ones that deserve large contracts.

I hope so too. He’s clutch.

To me, this is not only worse than the drought, but this 0-4 against the Chiefs is worse than our 0-4 Super Bowl record. Allen is much better than Kelly was, yet here we are wasting him away.

I really wish we could’ve picked up the ex-bengals DC, but he’s employed by Indy now. He knows how to beat KC. Our guy is 0-4.

KC had only scored 30 or more point twice during the regular reason (Carolina, TB) and once during the postseason. It inexplicably won’t be. Hence why I used this one.

The offense did let us down, especially on the last drive (3 exact play calls in a row is also McD’s responsibility). But, the offense at least scored 29 points. Do you not think that’s enough to win? In the morning once you’ve had some rest, you’ll agree.

Although I think they got “cute” with all the tush pushes and the run-first mentality, this loss isn’t on Allen. The defense needs to do their job too.

As expected, post didn’t age well. The best thing McD can do is completely relinquish his defensive lean and hire someone that has the independent defensive to McD. The game ended as most expected; Reid destroying McD’s defense. They had no answer for Mahomes. Bend but don’t break works for rookie QBs, not the competent ones.

Going for the FG was a no brainer. McD may have thought about it twice, as he should, but it was the only correct call.

So, we traded a DC for a linebacker who’s no longer in the league? Comp picks?

I don’t care how aggressive he is. He can run on 1st and 2nd downs and throw on 3rd down. I don’t care if it’s pretty. I just want us to win.

Um, Coleman? Samuel? Even Shakir? There’s a WR on the Bills roster with more TDs than any of them. Edit: as another poster pointed out, you may have meant Hollins. Shows how little respect we have for him. He’ll have a TD this Sunday night.

And the Chiefs are the only team that consistently beats the Bills in the postseason. That said, I expect the Bills to win this coming matchup.

If I was Brady, I would view Hackett and Dorsey making more money than me as a slap in the face. The guy deserves a hefty raise in the least.

I’m fine either way. Lamar can have the MVP and we’ll take the win last night.

I want Washington. Revenge is best served cold. Very cold.

My vote is not to re-sign him. We’re winning without him. Draft another WR. I think he only had one target last night and acted surprised the ball was thrown his way.

The dude hasn’t seen game action in 12 months. I’m not inclined to experiment during the AFC Championship game.
