  1. Really, I wonder how good Peters could be feeling that one of his teammates is now injured filling-in for the position he is supposed to be playing (and is under contract to play).
  2. Sh1t, someone tell Dockery to text Jason to get his butt in here!
  3. Yeah, he's a pretty violent and unpredictable man.
  4. Yeah, it's getting me all worked up too. Reminds me of the Michael Peca situation a while back...
  5. I'm a Tent follower, but he really needs to HTFU. There are players (RBs) who get the snot hit out of them on every play and they don't cry about every little bump and bruise.
  6. It's likely going to be Whitner. Who else on the roster plays a more important role that doesn't already have a new contract? This is assuming Evans gets his new contract this year. I could see Whitner holding out before Lynch just because Lynch's contract is still much too young. Next year, Whitner will be entering his 4th year. And he's already held out once, so we can't automatically assume he won't do it again. And there's noone breathing down his neck to take his job. As soon as McGee or Greer hold-out, McKelvin takes their spot, assuming he already hasn't done so. 2nd string CBs loose their bargaining power. Edwards will not hold out. It's rare for QBs to have to hold out, teams just throw the money at them. Or, if Stroud has a monster year....
  7. How about The Peace Bridge
  8. The Gandy argument is a good one. Peters should be making more than Mike Gandy. And that would be hilarious if the Walker started blowing hot steam about his contract, leading the Bills to open negotiations.
  9. And Joe Shmoe is not allowed to sit home on his butt "holding-out" for that raise. He would be fired. So, you are correct, these situations are completely different.
  10. Can we merge this with [please fix subject]???????? thread?
  11. Yeah, it's just a game, dude. Injuries can take away someone's livelihood - causing them to earn a living like the rest of us [only half joking]. Injuries could also rob people of pursuing their dream and their career. No one wants to see this.
  12. That really was an excellent read. It really puts in perspective what a rookie has to endure - especially a QB. The rookies are so green and easily intimidated. Just imagine being shoved into a game against the Cheatriots and being pinned down at the 1. Then having Seau screaming at you - telling you exactly what you thinking. I can see why some people say that QBs must have big egos - they need them to survive. This further explains why we need Peters back and quickly.
  13. He was one of the few players who left the Bills and still continued to be great.
  14. He's probably just visiting Dave and Busters.
  15. You are right. This is not just a scope to clean out a little scar tissue. This is a knee that no one ever thought would allow him to play football again. He has 3 ligaments reconstructed in this knee. This does not sound good for Willis. Now that he has his millions, I wonder how motivated he will be during his rehab.
  16. It's not exactly what he did or didn't do. It's that we have so many young, promising CBs on this team, including what may be the emergence of Youboty. We already know what we have in James and he may even be past his prime. It may even come down to the team picking between Youboty and James.
  17. No, he wouldn't stay. He believes he can be a starter and if not here, then somewhere else.
  18. Bringing in Pennington and shipping JP would be an excellent idea. Pennington does play very well sometimes (not often, but sometimes) and it is usually due to his brain. He has never dazzled anyone based on his physical attributes or skills. He would be a perfect person to mentor Edwards and to help teach him the game. JP is not the mentor - his work ethic is horrible (based on the stuff I have read on here - sorry, no link). And JP is a constant reminder to him that he may be riding the pine soon (which is not exactly a bed thing, but we should totally commit to a QB). This is not a nourishing environment and face it, Edwards is young and he needs guidence. Pennington could give him this and not be a constant threat.
  19. Can someone comment on the comparison between the GB offense and NY offense? Hasn't Favre played in the West Coast Offense for his whole career in GB and now he will not be (while in NY)? Could this affect his play?
  20. Peters is holding out? I didn't notice...
  21. Yeah, I guess that settles it. God has spoken. We can essentially now ignore all of Peter's inaction and failed attempts at communication.
  22. Reading the article in the Buffalo News today, is it possible that Peters just wants to retire and not play anymore? Maybe this is why he is so silent, he's mulling over retiring and doesn't want to speak out prematurely. He has made no indication that he wants to continue playing. His absolute silence is very strange for a hold-out. Or, maybe this is a Dimitrius Underwood type of situation and/or he just wants to become a reverend. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/story/405179.html
  23. Excellent report, much appreciated. Chambers making Kelsay look like an all-pro... Too bad the NFL doesn't play 7-on-7, we would be a shoe-in for SB. Greer always pwns during training camp.
