This will depend on who he hires as a DC. Many coaches comes in as DCs or OCs, and then promptly start hiring people as a form of returning favors and end up hiring the wrong people. Or, they just hire yes people. Or, they sway from their lane and try to be mini emperors - they don’t delegate and end up failing. McD did a great job hiring Daboll. He was basically hands off. McDaniel has done a great job in Miami. He’s hands off with his D (insert joke); he didn’t let his ego get involved and hired the best defensive man available.

This is mostly true. But, they may both be kind of floundering, but there’s one huge difference. Johnson has Goff and Dorsey has Allen. Johnson has basically took a very average QB and made him look great. Can’t imagine what Johnson could do for Allen.

Good post. I agree. This game was reminiscent of 13 seconds rather that Josh stinking up the game. That said, if Josh demoralized them in the 1st half, rather than keeping them in the game, we may have won. Instead, we opted to play catch-up.

I remember the Super Bowl days when the Bills would just will their way a win. It was never a doubt whether they would win. They just would. This team seems the opposite. Over the past couple years, it used to just be great teams we couldn’t beat. Now we can’t even beat scrub teams. Even the Giants game could’ve gone either way. Fricken Mac Jones outplayed Allen.

Well, that must be it. Josh is an average QB. It was Beasley all along that made him elite. Diggs is a scrub too.

Everyone and their kids knows that it’s very hard to take someone down if you aim high, unless you aim for their heads - which is a no no. It’s much more efficient to aim low and wrap them up. Going too low is bad too, because all the player needs to do it jump or regain their balance. So, how does the NFL expect players to efficiently tackle players? Maybe the NFL should begin training players on how to prepare to be tackled.

But the list is much longer than that. Rob Johnson, Mark Sanchez, Matt Barkley, and Matt Cassel all have something in common. They did nothing in the NFL (besides make money). Carson Palmer is also on that list, but maybe didn’t suck as much, but that doesn’t say much. USC is a bust factory for QBs.

I would give him an extra year. A QB’s window is pretty large. It’s his surrounding players that mostly determine the window. He should be on the hot seat next season.

Nah. His injury occurred with basically no contact. To me, no contact injuries imply a structural defect. If it didn’t rupture on this play, it was a ticking time bomb. It would’ve happened in the very near future.
